The above complaint happened to me as well. But my deduction was 69.54, and also I will not be receiving the full refund. This is something I do not understand. And I have yet to receive the refund, oh yeah, my trial period was a whole three days without anything on the site stating such a thing as a trial period. I never would have signed up had their been that particular stipulation in order to receive the so-called free watch I had allegedly won. SCAM SCAM SCAM
A couple weeks ago I received a survey offer while browsing on Amazon.com.After completion I was prompted to a screen to select a FREE gift so I selected a watch (which stated I would only have to pay $5.99 for s&h). I was then directed to the QMax Edition website where I was asked to select a gender-based watch and submit payment for shipping and handling.
Well I received this watch and a $95 debt on my credit card statement! I was extremely confused because I would NEVER agree to pay this amount for such poor quality! I immediately called customer service where I was given a whole runaround. They began by TRYING to convince me that I had entered into some 14 day trial period with their company, never saw a check box when selecting my "free" gift or after inputting my credit card information.
Anyhow, before I get my question out the representative informs me they had a no return,no refund policy....WHAT!?! He then told me I could make an attempt to get a refund by going online to their support website. This sounded crazy because they were able to cancel my account (so no other money would be taken) over the phone yet I couldn't get help getting a refund in this same manner.
I actually tried getting a refund through their support email and was told about this 14 day trial yet again. I inform the agent that I NEVER checked any box nor did I recall there even being one mentioning a 14 day trial period. He stated that he supposedly filed an appeal with the Manager which would allow a "courtesy refund" of $50 after I sumbit my approval. I immediately responded but, was still confused as to why I would only receive a partial refund.
Either way it's been about a week ago since I've heard anything and I have still yet to receive ANY refund!
