I worked an event for Push Models and the client's assistant asked me what my rate was so that he could hire me for events he did in the area. I don't like to discuss my rate with my clients, but I let him know that for this particular event I was getting paid $18 an hour and that he would just have to contact Push to book me. Well I went on break and when i came back the main client comes up to me to ask me what I was being paid and I told her, as I thought she would be aware prior to the event what I was being paid. Well needless to say after I told her I was getting paid $18 an hour, she flippped! She said, "Are you effing serious?!" I said "yes". She's like I am going to show you the email that I received from Push. Turns out push told her they would be paying me $45 an hour and that she had to pay on top of that 10% for the agency fee so in total she paid $49.50 an hour, Push kept $31.50 and I got paid $18 for doing all the work! Not only that but she also told me that she was required to pay the full amount a few weeks before the event. And yet Push takes 60-90 to pay their models! They are ripping off models and overchargining clients. They are a RIP OFF! Models and clients beware they are scamming you!
I swear these people are racist towards black girls. I haven't seen a pics on their site saying that they have black models. They never book me for any events that I am available for Or they will try to book me the day of an event and respond at the most 5 minutes later I get no response. They only contact you so they can say we tried. I got chosen for a casting call beat out many girls mind you I was the only black girl who made it but they still didn't use me even though I would choose the days that were available for work It's because they met their diversity quota. These people should be ashamed of themselves it's 2014 And Black is beautiful.
