My daughter showed me an ad on Facebook describing weightloss products that you could try out for only shipping. When I first read their material, I didn't realize that there were actually two products- Pure Bean Coffee Bean + and Carcinia Cambogia Extract. The initial order was placed on August 20th. I realized later that two separate email confirms were issued. On the 3rd and 4th of September we were charged $79.97 for Green Coffee Bean & $86.45 for Garcinia Cambogia.
These were sold in the same ad, but I found out when I called customer service to complain about the charges that they were two separate companies. The Pure Green Coffee Bean said they would refund the $79.97 if we returned the open bottle. Don't know yet whether this is going to happen. The Garcinia people refused to accept the return of the bottle and would only halt future shipments and return $40. That remains to be seen also.
The ad on facebook does not make clear that you are only deferring the regular monthly charge by paying the shipping. Customer service for both states you were made the offer for 14 days. The printed material sent with the Garcinia says something different. Both companies seem to be based in Canoga Park, CA, but the product was shipped from Las Vegas (the same identical packaging in 2 boxes).
When the charges were made for the entire cost of the product, my daughter tried to find the original Facebook ad that she had responded to, but couldn't find it. They must make all their money on first month users--they never mention in their ads that you would have to pay $166.42 per month to use the rpoduct. You only find out after your bank account is charged.
I ordered Garcinia Cambogia Extract online from a company called Pure Vitamins somewhere in Las Vagas,NV. I wanted to cancel order but they wanted me to keep order for 50% off next order. They gave me a RA # to return the remaining of the order
