Publix is NOT a great place to work for like they claim it is. Most of the workers there who are not management are only part-time. The very few workers who are full time non management are some of the cashiers, team leaders, some of its customer service staff, & some various department clerks. Publix is all about being hung up on their upscale image of standing out to the community against their competitors in the supermarket industry.This company only cares about their financial profitability, their competitive success & their overall image. Publix has this absurd b.s. corporate policy. It states that if there's any employee(s) regardless if they are full time or part time & have been scheduled 20 hours or less each week within the 1st 3 weeks of their retail inventory bonus 3 month quarter, they DO NOT get an inventory bonus. That's not right & it's not fair. What about many of those part-time workers like cashiers & baggage clerks who are in the front end that work hard & are good at what they do? A majority of them are being scheduled by management 20 hours or less every week regardless of what the employee's availability is. It's been like this for an indefinite period of time & the very few front end part-timers get 25 hours or more.
