My father died in December 2013. He had an account with Prudential Alliance. My father left all of his assets to me and my brother in his will and trust. My father did not have a beneficiary on file with Prudential and so we have spent four months trying without success to find out what documents Prudential needs to process the claim. The account representatives who apparently work for Bank of NY Mellon, the administrator for Prudential, know absolutely nothing. We have received the same form letter three times asking for the same documents we already sent. We have received three promises of a return phone call and no one has called back. My brother called and was told Prudential would process the claim and cut the check 50/50 as my father directed. Instead, my brother was charged $12.00 for a check that Prudential never cut, and we never received.

Prudential sent us a letter in early October stating that if we didn't claim the funds, Prudential would escheat them to the state. Meanwhile, Prudential is making interest of my father's money and through sheer incompetence, this outrageous fraud is being perpetrated--not just on us, but likely on many Americans who had the great misfortune of having a loved one die with an account with Prudential without a named beneficiary.

Prudential: you are thieves and have incompetent people who know nothing answering the phone. You should not exist. No other financial institution has treated us this way. You are corrupt.

I always believed Prudential was one of the best life insurance companies around the USA. Now that my husband has passed away, I had no agent come and explain the Alliance acct to me nor to my knowledge did not receive a letter of explanation from the company either. There has to be a better way to treat your Prudential customers.N

Representative was getting information needed., after a few minutes of waiting, My call was disconnected.

Never received a call back Would appreciate a return call. this was the second call I made. I think on the first call I was given the wrong information. That is why I called again
