This company offers a 30 day free trail. When attempting to cancel via their support they inform you that you must " To cancel your MyFax® account, please call 1-866-563-9212, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and a representative will assist you."
I tried doing as the suggested several times. The number is staffed by a machine answering machine only. It will ask for your fax number and ID (last 4 of the credit card used). It will then tell you it does not understand and to repeat the entry, This will continue for 3 attempts. At that point it says "Goodbye" and hangs up.
After trying this several times I decided to reply to the original e-mail, explaining the problem and letting them know that I am canceling the trial period and if they attempt to charge my card it will be treated as an unauthorized charge. To this there was no reply. A few days later I forward the e-mail to their support address as well as copied the original return address indicating that I did not receive a reply and requested that the acknowledge my cancelation. I also tried their online chat... which is not really online chat. It has you write your concern and then informs you they will get back to you. To both of these there was no reply. I finally resent the second e-mail a couple days prior to the end of the trial period informing them again any charge will be treated as unauthorized. I also called the number that they originally supplied with the same original result, 3 attempts then "Goodbye".
The company obviously ignores any attempt to cancel during the trial period. They proceeded to charge my account the $10 monthly fee as well as sent a pdf bill indicating the charge and to do nothing they will charge the account on file.
My response, notify my charge card company of the unauthorized charge. Hopefully they will handle it and block this company from any future charge.
