My 89 year old father ask me to find him a scooter to order on line. We settled on EV Rider Royale Electric Scooter. It was purchased on line on February 10, 2015. Henry at Progress Mobility was the salesman. My husband made the deal with him. The deal included a $99.00 home warranty, a flag, scooter cover and a basket with the bracket. My husband was also told by Henry that the delivery person would unload, unpack and have the scooter running for my father since he lives in an assisted living facility.
The scooter was delivered to my dad's residence, which is Columbus Estates, which is an assisted living facility. UPS delivered the scooter which was completely enclosed in a crate, The UPS driver unloaded it onto the sidewalk in front of the facility and left. My 89 year old father had no way to cut the cardboard, the plastic ties or even get up on the wood pallet. I immediately contacted Progress Mobility and was told that's the way they are delivered. I don't remember who I talked to but Henry the salesman wasn't there.
After my husband was able to cut the scooter out of the package and get it off the palet, we discovered it had the wrong seat on it. PM was contacted and a couple weeks later the other seat arrived. We also returned the other seat. When the scooter was delivered it had a thin plastic cover with it but no basket, basket bracket or flag.
PM was contacted about the missing items (which are listed on the invoice as 'Additional accessories') We also asked them to send us some paperwork regarding the $99.00 home warranty. We were told not to worry about any paperwork, that if something needed to be repaired we were to contact them. They would handle it from there. We asked several times for paperwork on the warranty. We were told the basket would be mailed in about a week. We waited 2-3 then contacted them again, again and again!!! Each time we would get a different person, only to be told by John that the baskets were on back order. We originally asked for Henry and were told he no longer worked for the company. Then we talked to Gary, John and Tim. There were probably others, but it got so tiring we just were not keeping track. Each time we called we were told that the person we asked for was "in a meeting", or "doesn't come in until later", "it's his day off", "he's busy with another customer', "he's in the hospital", "he's not here and we can't get into his computer." The lists just goes on and on and on. Each time we had to start our story over again.
Each time the person was "going to put this right on his desk", "he would call us right back", "he would make sure this was taken care of". There were SO many lies from these people. They would act like they wanted to get it resolved but nothing ever was taken care of.
One time we were told the basket and bracket had been sent and was delivered to a certain address. Since my brother charged this scooter on his credit card they had his address. Tim told me the scooter was delivered there, but he couldn't find the tracking number and would have to call us back with it. Ofcourse he didn't and ofcourse it was NEVER delivered to that address. It was never even sent. So again 2 or 3 more phone calls. Now Tim is never there so we talk to Gary or John. They will "take care of this immediately". Nothing ever happens. I finally get to Tim (they will never tell you their name unless you ask for it and no last names ever). I tell Tim that he should just do what he promised and take care of getting this basket to my father. I assured me that he would and that this was very important to get resolved! Ofcourse he lied again. He promised me he would "walk the order" for the basket to the necessary department and get this issue resolved. He would be sending me an email within 48 hrs and this would be taken care of. Lies, lies, lies!!!
We have given him over two weeks this time. I called today and talked to Tim. He told me since the basket was not listed on the invoice that if we wanted one we would have to buy it. I told him it was listed as accesories. He said it doesn't say basket, so "do you want to buy one or not?"
I can't tell you how many calls we have made just to get a basket so an old man can put his groceries in when he goes to the store!! These people are terrible liars.
All pictures show bumper. Even features list seatbelt, anti-tip bars and bumper in the same sentence. Only at very bottom of is bumper listed at $299.00. By that time, .. I had ordered. I was told I had to purchase the bumper but they did include all other items in same line. HUH.
