At the end of October 2013, I responnded to an online invitation to use investment advisory services run by Profitable Trading aka Street Authority. The offer suggested they would send detailed calls to buy/sell options, stocks and other market instruments. Commonly, this means they would e-mail a symbol, entry price, target price, stop loss level and some details about the instrument such as levels to watch and possible scenarious for risk management.
The advertisemrent promoted Amber Hestla Barnhart as a successful advisor with a 100% success rate in 2013 in her picks. The information implied that customers would receive clear instructions on trades.
Next day my mailbox was flooded with e-mail spam irrelevant to what was promissed. None of the e-mail I received containes presice instructions on trading any stock or option or any other market instrument. Generally, it was overwelming market reviewes, so broad in essence, it would be impossible to make a conclusion on how to trade it. In fact there was no advise, just someone's opinion on how things may develop. That was completely disconnected with the description of services.
One should be aware that the load of information they send is massive. This kind of e-mails are impossible to digest, interpret and make a clear conclusion on what to do. There are no instructions on how to execute trades. I didn't even know whether these are recommended trades or just genneral review of some stocks. This information can be easily found online and one could spend all his time reading it without any idea what to do. this is exactly what Profitable Trading provides.
I e-mailed Customer service and received no response. I called two days later. The rep was ignorant to my conserns and said that since I opened all the e-mails they sent, I reseived their information and that means it was delivered and they have no responsibility over what happens next. She refused to admit that what they sent is nothing but a load of spam and impossible to utilise for trading as it contains no clear trading instructions.
In other words, they lie about the product and blame it on customers' inability to understand the information. This is complete and clear scam. They refused to refund my money, $300.
