I purchased candles from Prize Candle and have won multiple $25 rings in my candles. In the last candle I purchased I appraised the ring on their website and was told I had won a ring valued at $200.

i received my ring a week later and noticed right away that it was in a bag marked "made in China". Made me a little suspicious about the value so I took it to a jeweler and was told the ring was worthless. Definitely not a $200 ring as indicated on their site and on the receipt they mailed with the ring.

When end confronted the company told me that their values are actually based on what I would pay for the ring at a high end department store so basically retail. The ring I received is brass plated and fake stones. I looked up what I could buy at Macy's for $200 and guess what, I can get a low carat emerald and silver ring.

So so in a sense Prize Candle is sending made in China costume crap and passing them off as valuable if you supposedly "win one".

Crazy thing is if you go on their website and look at the prize gallery you will see the ring they sent me with multiple different values. One is even as high as $1000.

I bought a candle from this company a few months back. The wick only went to the middle of the candle rendering half the candle useless and unburnable. I contacted the company and they refused to replace the candle until they got pictures which may or may not prove the candle defective. This happened just in time as I had a large order for Christmas to place. Looks like Yankee candle will be getting my business! Don't buy from this company!

I received a Prize Candle as a gift. It says that you should light the candle and let it burn until you see the "ring". You then dig the "ring" out to claim your prize (from $10 to $5,000). When you go to the website to claim the so called prize, you must order a candle instead of getting the "reward". Or you can pass the "reward" off to another person. This is truly a rip off!
