Received a call from a Connie Roberts from Pretrial Intervention stating she had to hear from me or my attorney of record immediately about a case filed against me. If she does not hear from me, she will document that I have waived my right to council and I should govern myself accordingly. The number she provided was (614)973-6913, this is the third number with the third different person, same line of bs in the same number of days.
I have had the same exact phone call! This at first terrifed me! I work for the Dept. of Corrections and can not have any jail time or warrants. She said it was from a payday loan I took out in 2011. I honestly don't think I have EVER taken out a loan, nor have I wrote a bad check to them. I did file a police report and told this Litigation Service Company when I called back. I am still scared honestly. I don't know why they have all my information and knew my name when I called from a blocked number. Now they won't talk to me at all they keep putting me on hold and sending me to a voicemail. Connie Roberts was the one who left the same exact voicemail on my phone as well! I hope this all blows over! I will change my number if it doesn't.
I just received the same call from "Isabell Free" 513-258-0625 doubtful the name is even real. Same message as you have indicated. When I attempted to call the number back, the phone was 'not accepting incoming calls'. I am glad I made the attempt before contacting my attorney. Beware, they apparently are changing the numbers and locations frequently.
These people keep calling me and my daughter several times a day leaving voice mails. The voice is always the same with the name being Sara Bell calling from 234-517-3148 and Krista Cee (?) calling from 330-921-4387. My daughter called them back to try to find out what it was about. They only said they were looking for me and would not give her any information because they did not have my permission to do so on file. When they leave a voice mail on my phone it is the same exact voice but they never say who they are looking for or what it is about. The message is the same exact message, too. I refuse to call them back. I have not been served with any papers saying I was being sued.

On 5/19/14 we got a strange & illegal call from "Samantha Hall" of Pretrial Intervention," following the same script that others have reported: "A case has been filed against you. I need to speak to you or your attorney of record, today, immediately. Contact me at 210-762-6589. If I do not hear back from you I will document that you have waived your right to counsel and the case will be filed. Govern yourself accordingly."
See Nolo.com's excellent website on debt scavengers for more info. We've reported the threatening & vague call to the new federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and urge anyone who has the same experience to do the same. (If it's really a once-legitimate debt, it isn't anymore & is not owed). Anyone who purports to be trying to collect a debt must, by federal law, give you notice in writing that includes the name of the original debtor, and how to contact them to dispute it; also, even if you do owe a debt you have the right to request they not contact you anymore. There's a reason these people don't contact you by mail.
Don't be intimidated by these jerks! Fight back any way you can.
Received a call and message from "sandy thomas" of pretrial interventions from 810-310-3053. Have not returned the call as i wants to see if anyone had reported it as a scam first. Exact script as the other reports i have read. I.E."case pending","self or attorney on file must contact immediately", "waive right to counsel". I have no unknown debt and will not be calling them back.
Received a call from a Kelly Whitmore stating that she has 2 felony affidavits against me and that I need to call by 4pm today before motion is filed. Then they called my mother in NC asking for me stating the same thing from another number 704-840-1408. If this was legal send me notification via certified mailing and stop with the threatening phone calls.
Phone number they are using varies slightly 319 359 2364 or 319 238 7195 but the same exact message This is XXX-XXXXX with pre trial intervention. Called the number and could not make out the mumbly incoherent person's name. When I stated why I was calling the person's tone became almost beligerent threatening me with a arrest warrant for past due pay day loan and check fraud..None of which I have ever done..EVER! Beware these people are such scammers!! Reported them to the FCC cause they are calling my phone like every 45 minutes...
Got a voicemail ,,scare tactics ,,waive rights to counsel ,same as all the rest of us ,,hopefully these scammers will be in need of real counsel soon !!!!
I received a phone call today in which this man named Trip Neilson said " I am informing you with this courtesy call that you have court at 2:00 on FEDERAL CHARGES. One is Check Fraud and the other charge, which is the worst, is WILLFUL Check Fraud". I have NO idea what, he names some companies real fast and said I had gotten these loans on-line and received the money! If I pay some $900 and some odd figure that it would all be taken care of. But if I didn't take care of this a WARRANT would be issued .
I called my county court office to see if I had a case pending and was told No and was reffered to the district attorneys office where I spoke to an investigator who is going to look into this.
Same here... they had my info and prev address but had the last 4 of social wrong... I called the courthouse and checked for warrants, NONE! WTH is this? After I said that they had my soc wrong they said nevermind and hung up on me???? This needs to be looked into so they dont harrass people.
I received a call from michael freeman, pretrial intervention, indicating i needed to contact him immediately, regarding a complaint filed against me. He advised that if i didn't return call, i would be waiving right to counsel, and the state would be notified for an arrest warrant to be issued. I called, 440-249-7851, and got a ms bailey. She advised i had 1 hour to resolve matter, only with her, and refused to provide the place where an alleged check advance check was issued, or the amount. Only information she would provide was online advance, llc. I've never had any dealings with, nor do i know who they are. She stated that i needed to resolve the issue, with her, in the amount of $1123.09, within 1 hour, and that i had no other recourse.
I, too, have received many calls - I never answer. I block and then I will get a call from them from another number.
Person that called was ralph mattews and left threating message. The number that came up was 310-328-8958, and told me to call 614-450-1464. Called to a amy that was rude that stated that a arrest warranty was being issued for a pay day loan and the check fraud. Told her to send me the paperwork. Just stated more threats. Told her good luck with that and told her to get a real job.
I received 2 calls in 2 days from this scam group. The first one was Legal support service a Reginald Wasson called and did the scam script. The 2nd day same voice but different name Warren Roundtree with Pre trial intervention called same scam script.
I'm going to call them back and mess with them.
I received a similar call from 636-232-9981 showing a location in Festus, MO.

Received a recorded message from a Christine and said she needed to speek to me or my attorney that charges were going to be pressed against me. I called and this lady got rude and I asked to speaj to her boss and she said she was unavailable and hung up. Well i called back and this Brian Morris answered and was telling me things like my address, social security number, and bank information. He told me he could setup payment arrangements with the company. Well I was scared of course and gave them my debit card information and then he gives me his number he said to his desk. The number I dialed to get him was a Ohio number 513-9724593, but the number he gave me was a Texas number 469-402-0540. I said why is it different and he gave me story that it was the main number and it gets tranferred to his desk. I asked for proof that this was real and he said he couldn't do it till tomorrow which is when they are suppose to take money via from my debit card. I have withdrawed all money and cancelled the card.
