On 07/15/2014 I purchased a walk-in tub. When it was delivered I was on my way to my cemo treatment so I did not see what it was. The workers took my old tub with them and I had wanted to keep it to wather my animals.
At first my wife was happy with it but I told her about the wallpulling away from the tub and she told me about the leaky faucet. We called and they came and fixed it. The tub has not worked since. The jets still do not work and now the shower head is leaking. The door opened up while I was taking a bath and we ended up with wet carpeting in both bedrooms.
Then on 05/20/2015 my wife fell when her heal got caught in the drain, she fell backward and hit her lower back on the grab bar and her neck snapped backward. She ended up having the ambulance come and take her to the hospital. She had server whiplash and sever lower back pain.
We have called them and told them to come and get their defective tub and that we wanted our old tub back. We have gotten the run around ever since. They want their money but they will not give me my old tub back. They are calling and threating to destroy my credit. I am tired of the way I am treated on the phone because I can not hear to good.
I need help and I can not afford a lawyer on my income. I make to much to get a lawyer for discounted fees. Please help.
In october we had called premire care and bathing to provide information to us on the walk in tubs , a representative came to our house and showed us the tubs , he stated he had promotional costs and if we didnt put a deposit down he couldnt hold it for us , we liked the tubs so we gave them 1000 dollars per his request which he stated they would not cash untill we agreed on finance well this was a saterday on monday the check was cashed , we were not even financed and they cash the check after looking at reveiws on them I later found out they are notorias for this ,
I had sent a certified letter that I wanted my money back they ignored it , ignored our calls etc , I have never dealt with such a crooked business and their walk in tubs focus on the elderly , they stole our money , please do not do business with them and if anyone has had issues with this company please contact me at , I would like to file a suit against them . They save they represent the amvets well I worked for an establishment that cares for veterans and I sure they wouldnt want to be associtaed with a business that rips off the elderly
Well...I placed my order for the tub after a pretty convincing sales pitch. 8 weeks later they show up to install the tub. I am told they were waiting for the permits. When the installer arrived, he didn't have the permits in hand. Had to go to city hall to get it..
Two weeks after the arrival of the installer, the tub was in and inspected. I purchased the tub for my disabled wife who could not negotiate the 4 inch lip on my old shower. Well, the "walk in" tub is 8 inches high. I am not disabled and nearly fell getting out. Now I have to help her in and out of the tub which completely defeats the purpose of getting the tub in the first place.
The installer put up some kind of panels that resemble tile. When he left, there were large gaps where he did not caulk. He said the other installer screwed up. So, I went and purchased caulk and finished the job. The tub itself is not a bad tub, BUT it produces bubbles.
For $16,000.00 it should have been jets. I'm sorry but I just don't see $16,000.00. And to top it all off, Premier Care didn't even give me a follow up call to see how the installation went. They have your money, and then they are done with you. I have a good mind to not pay for it, and they can come and rip it out.
My husband suffers with severe back injuries and he was watching T.V. when a commercial came on regarding Premier Care in Bathing and he was excited and decided to call and make an appointment to have someone come out and explain how the system works and get the pricing also. The sales person came to our house on 1/15/2014 to discuss and show us pictures of the product. My husband did like the product they showed us, Mr. Ed Mia who was our sales person gave us the price and we told him of our situation and that we would give as a good faith deposit, Mr. Mia called his office and was told that he couldn’t accept that amount that it had to be $1,000.00 good faith deposit in which we gave him a check for that amount, we also asked Mr. Mia in the event if our modification don’t go through would we be able to get our deposit back and he assured us that it wouldn’t be a problem.
We were told that our modification wasn’t approved, so called the sales person Ed Mia and told him of the situation and he said he remember the conversation we had at our home regarding the deposit, and now the company doesn’t want to give us the money back, I have sent them a letter from the bank which they asked me to fax stating us not getting approved for the modification. And as of 7/10/14 they still haven’t tried to attempt to resolve this matter, I don’t have a problem losing 200.00-300.00 from our deposit why should we lose the entire amount, when the company never made the product it was on hold.
