The short of it is, Precision Pest Control decieves and tricks consumers into signing up for a year-long service with recurring fees after verbally promising that this is a one-time-fee service.
The sales representative in question in our case verbally explained the service as being available for a one-time fee. The service representative then had us check a box on an iPad that we "understood" the terms before signing on the app. This iPad approach completely obscures the true agreement.
The business sends an digitally generated service agreement that replicated our signature (not a real signature on the form).
The owner of the business was entirely unwilling to cancel the agreement, and indeed said we simply misunderstood what his employee clearly explained.
Before they first showed up to do work I asked them if there was a contract with their company and was told no. Then as I was looking over their paper work they wanted signed I again asked of it was a contact and was told no and could stop the service when I would like to. The service wasn't quality due to the spides and mice I still had after they had treated my home. Infact I have never seen bigger spiders in my life! I called to cancel becaue there were other companies in my area that I had heard were cheaper and better. When I called he told me that his wife wouldn't tell me there wasn't a contract and so he was going to continue to charge me for a year. I explained to him that wasn't the case and in fact the guy who comes told me I could cancel whenever I'd like to also. He just said sorry for MY confusion but he will continue to charge me.
