A Reginald Wood and then the next day he called and said his name was reginald Burnett called me from pretrial intervention and I will be recieving court document regarding a bill that I do not have and that I am waving my rights to counsel, etc. very rude. scam of course. but they are call everyday all day long from 440-220-6326, 440-345-7151
I received a message on my cell phone following the same script that others have reported: "A case has been filed against you. I need to speak to you or your attorney of record, today, immediately. Contact me at 440-826-5870. If I do not hear back from you today, I will document that you have waived your right to counsel and the case will be filed. Govern yourself accordingly." I did a SPOKEO search and the number was shown as being in Berea OH (it could have been spoofed). I called the number back 5 times, the first time I spoke to a Ms Bailey and she said it was for a returned check to an online payday advance company but she had the last 4 of my SSN but got the bank information wrong. When I told her I have never taken out an online payday advance she said she would update the state attorney and hung up. When I called back other times I was either put on hold for a lengthy time and then disconnected or just hung up on. I informed the Berea PD and the State Attorney General's office in Cleveland.
I too received a call from a Robert Baxter #901-444-3522 regarding a 3yr old payday loan. He could not give me any information about the initial amount borrowed or the name of the loan company. All he said was Payday Loan was a parent company. He said if I didn't pay 1832.00 he would submit paperwork for a court appearance. I told him to let me know when the court date was then I hung up. I too, wish these people would quit calling me.
