After long research on April 22, 2015 I decided to order a Honda EU2000 generator online from generator.com. The generator is an in stock item listed on the website to this very day. I received my order number promptly by e-mail, yet no shipping date notification. My credit card was promptly charged and so I contacted the company (generator.com) on April 24th per e-mail inquiring on the matter.
I promtly received an e-mailed back by Dennis, Finance Manager of WiseSales 1800-916-9473 thay mt order will be shipped the end of May. I still have my e-mails. I was a bit confused why wisesales.com would e-mail me but I didn't really question it and figured wisesales must be the same company as generator.com. Both companies, generator. com and wisesales.com websites advertise the generator in stock, however I was willing to wait a little over a month and not question it.
In May I contacted the company 2x again by phone, and was told the March orders just got sent out and I will receive a shipping conformation soon. Dorothty was the lady I spoke with. She also stated she wished management would fill them in on back order issues.
Now I became a little more sceptic and asked why it still was an instock item online as it indeed wasn't instock. I really did not get much of an explanation except that generators are coming in but in small numbers therefore the items are indeed in stock. I was told she would be contacting the shipping manager so I could be put on top of the shipping list. Frustrated but still willing to wait I ended my conversation with Dorothy.
Some more time went and I decided to contact the number of wisesales.com without letting them know I had an order in and inquiered on the generator model in question. I was told that none where available or instock until the end of June. I then called Generator.com and was just told "No not availble' and hung up on. The voice on the 2 phone calls sounded identical.
I then called the phone number on my conformation e-mail and talked with Jen (short of Jenifer maybe) I asked her if the 2 companies where conected. She first said not but after I mentioned my e-mail response from Dennis of WiseSales.com she stated kind of but it was only able to explain "this was complicated". I told her that I will give it until Friday and that expected an e-mail update and if not able to give me a shipping date to cancel my order.
Needless to say i never got that e-mail.
I contacted WiseSales.com/Generator.com today and spoke with Dennis and cancelled my order as I am going camping with a generator not purchased with this doulble named company. Today is June 15, 2015.
I hope my refund will post as stated by Dennis within 24-48 hours.
The prices on the 2 websites are not the same. The address is only listed on WiseSales.com. I must say this is not good buisness and to me more then false advertisement.
I hope this saves someone else the troubles I have gone through.
