Power Heads, owned by Ralph Pici, was unable to correctly install a set of cams after porting and polishing heads and had to pay another shop to reinstall the original ones, costing me just about $2,000 in addition to the car being down for even longer. Ralph Pici, who runs this out of his garage, takes absolutely no responsibility and has no problem taking others' money and giving them absolute s**t. From what I have been told from other people that sent their parts/money to him, this problem with my project was NOT an isolated incident
Like most people that have no conscience about taking money and leaving someone hanging when it is HIS fault, he has not returned any money to anyone I spoke to, including myself. Thankfully I've saved a few people who were going to be sending their motors and THOUSANDS of dollars worth of more parts and labor costs; luckily they posted on various online forums asking about Power Heads and Ralph Pici and were made aware of this practice of his, so they sent their motor and money to different other big names in Mustang engine building and head porting instead
Finally, everything I have said is factual and I have specifically not included any of my own, or others', personal feelings about Ralph and his "business" so that people who are looking for the type of services he offers knows exactly what the problem is. In fact, simply goodle "ralph pici" and/or "power heads" and you'll even find some of the complaints and how they were responded to by Ralph. I could not find even one person that was happy with their work!
It would have been great to get my money back, but I will settle for everyone knowing his M.O. and making sure the $2,000 I lost will cost 6-8 times that amount in business and fortunately for those potential customers, that is EXACTLY what the total is so far. Note that that just includes my own bill, and those of people I personally spoke with - who knows what the total is after all this time of the people I didn't speak to, but read about my experience on various automotive forums and didn't even bother calling or emailing and just sent their money and parts to a different engine builder?
