So when I moved to Charlotte NC I decided I wanted to find and apartment for cheap and live in uptown Charlotte so I found a rental and made the move. Rentals seem easy enough, you pay rent, the place is yours for as long as you decide to rent it and at the end you decide if you want to stay and the landlord might up your rent then you decide if you want to stay. Things went well for the first few months, Stephanie Jordan was nice and moving in was easy instead of signing a lease told me to go online and do it electronically, just login and click some boxes. Then some college kid moved in and decided to throw parties in the hallway until like 5am, the first party I didnt care too much about. Then the parties became a nightly thing, so I called the curtesy cop who didnt do anything. So I kept complaining then they let me move to a new apt. So I moved to a new apt in the complex and they made me sign a new full year lease. So I signed the lease and stayed there for a year.
During the year the hallway was never cleaned, a dog would piss and it would sit there until the piss dried, a dog took a s*** and it sat there for a long time, then somehow the s*** seemed to get pushed around up and down the hall way. No one every cleaned it. There was dog s*** in the hallway for my last 2 months. As if living with dog s*** everywhere isn't bad enough theres homeless people who like to make their way into the buildings and use the grills. I almost had to forcefully remove one guy one night because he sat down with me and my friends and started to make the girls we were with feel uncomfortable. Then one day I got a letter and my rent was increased by 21%, from 1560 to 1885 a month which is total BS. So I walked down to the office and told Stephanie Jordan that I was leaving and was gonna buy a place. Had a nice conversation with her, again, shes pretty and very pleasant. Then when my lender confirmed my rent Post refused to do it until I gave them a 60 notice. Keep in mind, my 12 month lease was up in 45 days but for some reason they needed me to let them know I would leave, as if I could possibly be planning to stay my lease ended. When a lease ends you leave, I dont get how this could be assumed that I would want to stay longer especially when I walked to the office and let them know I was leaving.
Then I found out that there was a 60 day auto renewal clause in my lease. Then they just selected how much they wanted to charge me. ALMOST $2400 a month, total Bull s***. I was a good quiet tennant who paid on time. Now I have a bill of $1300, and I turned my keys in 15 days early for them to rent it and I put up with shit in the hallways, loud neighbors, my car was broken into in the parking deck, homeless guys all over..... I was a d*** one day when they were telling me how they were going to charge me so much because of the 60 auto renewal, no one ever told me about it, I spoke with the leasing agents and they didnt warn me. Feels like they wanted to screw me out of some extra cash. So I talked to Carrie Cole who was a total b****, Stephanie Jordans emails to me seemed like she didn't give a s*** because she had the opportunity to screw me and did nothing to try to make me happy.
At the end of the day these people took advantage of me, when they went to rent the place out they asked 1650 which is 235 a month less than what they were going to charge me which just goes to show how they intended to f*** me all along. Dont let yourself get screwed by Stephanie Jordan, she wont give a s*** about you, Carrie Cole is a b**** to do business with and Post Apartment Homes will fuck you any chance they get. I could go on and on but it just gets me more angry. I'm not typically an angry person it takes a good bit to really piss me off, but these people have me by the b**** and they are taking full advantage of their ability to screw me which is wrong on so many levels.
