I purchased a NEW 2014 Ford Focus Titanium from Porcaro Ford in Racine Wi in October of 2014. The car was (new) but had 90 miles on the odometer. When I took delivery of the vehicle, it was already late around 7 PM so it was dark. I looked the vehicle over and it appeared ok in the dark. The next morning, I noticed fine scratches on the hood, and chips on the door handles. Also the windshield was chipped and scratched. I immediately took the car back to the dealership and they said they would have their "guy" check it out. Their "guy" turned out to be a detailer, who cleans the cars up before the customer takes delivery of the car. Their "guy" tried to wax the scratches out with a can of wax and a buffer. Please keep in mind that this Focus is a 27,000 dollar car, BRAND NEW !! When he was done "waxing" and "buffing" the car, the scratches were STILL there. The chips on the windshield , and the chips on the door handle were still there, and the dealership did nothing to fix that. When I called this to the new car sales manager, he told me that I should just learn to live with such "minor" scratches. He also said that "it's really a beautiful car, and I should concentrate on driving it, and not staring at such minor imperfections. My next step....I contact Ford Motor Company, and they told me there is nothing they can do, since the dealer took all actions to correct the damage to the vehicle. Ford Motor Company NEVER listened to ME, the customer.
I put only 1400 miles on this boat anchor, and traded it for a beautiful Buick. The Buick is a Totally Superior Car, and the dealership in Kenosha, is wonderful. THEY really care about their customers !!
