Ordered a part on May 19,2014. Recieved it fairly timely. By the time I received part, I decided to not open pool. After discussion with fellow pool owners and a few weeks of research; about whether to drain pool for summer or keep it going, I changed my mind and decided for the life of the pool, pump, and pool liner, that it was better to keep the pool running even for just a few hours a day, than to drain it.
I proceeded to open the package that the part came in and noticed that a key piece was broken. I left an e-mail, because their website says " we answer all e-mails.", 4 days or so later, after no response, I called and the gentleman on the phone, he was rude and told me he couldn't do anything for me cause of the length of time after purchase; when I let him know that I was unhappy about spending $40+ the first time shopping with his company, and getting broken equiptment. I also told him that I did not want to make a complaint to about the company over something this minor , when he told me not to threaten him, I then told him it wasn't a threat. I also told him that it had only sat on my dining room table since recieving it. He told me that he would talk to his supervisors and return my call.
A couple of days later, my call was finally returned, I was told to e-mail pictures of the part and the best he could do was contact the manufacturer and let them decide if they would replace it. He would not mention the manufacturer. I sent numerous pictures from my Iphone, and here I am weeks later and still no response whatsoever. I !would not recommend this company to anyone! I could have chalked this up to my mistake in taking too long to decide, but that was no excuse for the rudeness and lack of communication, especially when they say they answer all emails, when they do not.
After somemore research, of all places that had pool parts, Amazon had the same part for less than half of the cost, including shipping. I got the part immediately(within a couple of days) and after a total of roughly $62 , I got my $20 dollar part.
Unfortunately I feel like I have donated $42 to a company that really stinks!
Paypal dispute/resolution would not even look at my transaction because of the length of time from original transaction. Which in small part is due to waiting on responses from the original company, which they advertise on the website that they do, when they drag their feet.(I think that is being kind.)
