In Jan 2014 I contacted the Podvin Law Group regarding the lender advising me my payment would be sent back and my house will be recommed for Foreclosure, I spoke with a Steve Mullins who informed me at the time although the law firm is in GA legal representation for Podvin is available in GA and my case would be accpeted. I completed the neccessary paperwork and made a $980 retainer fee payment and agreed to pay $475 thereafter. I was informed by Mr Mullins that an additional fee would be charged if I needed to go to court or mediation and that would be paid separately and the attorney in GA would be contacting me and go to the proceedings with me. Jan passed I heard nothing from Podvin so I called them in Feb for a status and advised Mr Mullins I had not been contacted by the customer service team no had I don the financial packet for a possible loan modification as stated by the law firm would happen. I then received an email from a Michael B explain he would handle my loan modification paperwork, I completed the package and sent it back I heard nothing else.
March 13 a realtor comes to my door and states my home is up for sale and he could help me with a quick sale. I was confused called Mr Mullins who at that time stated it was a scare tactic ignore it I explaine to him no this man had complete details about my home and case. He then had a representative named Claudia M contact me because during the conversation with Mr. Mullings I advised him the lender is still calling me and I getting letters from a lawyer regarding my house. He advised me in Jan not to speak to the lender the firm would handle this - so I asked why is the lender not showing an attorney for record. I sent the requested documents to Claudia M and also informed the law firm I have not received any paperwork about the status of my case, or access to the CRM (customer board) or heard form the lawyer in GA. I was told to hold tight. On 28th March Claudia M called me told me Mr Mullings had been let go and theyjust found out there is no lawyer representing me in GA so I would need to file bankruptcy - they called me 3 days before the sale of my house on Friday - so disgusted because this law firm lead me to believe for 3 months that progress was being made on my case and when I retained the firm they informed me I had a representation in GA. I find today speaking with Gabrielle at the firm that the lawyre in GA stop represnetation 3 months ago, when I hired them. Noone at this firm notified me or took the any actions on my behalf to allow me time to either find another lawyer or take other actions to save my home. I have called every week askign for a refund and they are giving me the run around my next step is the file a complaint with the bar.
