Order was placed on November 23, 2016 and was informed that it would be 2 to 3 weeks...well, the order arrived finally today, December 29, 2016. Seems rather ridiculous that the order could not have been shipped within the two to three week time frame. Will not order again..
I am reporting on a TV ad promoting a "Be active sciatic knee brace".
Promotion was "Buy 1, get 1 Free $19.95". Just simply pay processing and handling charges for each item. Of course, they didn't disclose what those charges were, and I unwittingly failed to ask.
All crystal clear and legal; right? Sure it is, at least we would assume so. We all know what happens when we assume things. Well, I assumed and it sho'nuff happened.
Processing and handling cost me a whopping $15.00 in addition to my bargain of $19.95 for the items. These items were stuffed together in one small package, of which I have shipped similar for under $5.00.
I shudder to think what my processing and handling would have been had I ordered the half-dozen other upgrades, or additional items they were pushing over the phone. To top it off, neither my wife nor I notice any relief of our leg pain.
I called them, and they said they had clearly stated there would be additional processing and handling charges for each item; and I believe they did. I should have asked "how much?".
Hind site is 20-20; or more like 19-15 since I'm not even going to attempt to return the items after reading other reviews on this company. So I'm stuck with 2 leg wraps for $35.00, but maybe this review will save someone else some money.
Did this company do anything illegal? I guess not. Would a REPUTABLE Company have handled this in the same manner? I think NOT.
I think a reliable company would have disclosed THE TOTAL for the order, and received an "okay" from their VALUED customer.
This transaction was completed in October of this year; so they're still actively trying to get your hard-earned dollars.
Plymouth Direct is apparently pushing a series of current TV promotions using similar ploys(Buy one, get second one free, etc), so BUYER BEWARE, or at least be careful when responding, and be sure to get your GRAND TOTAL including all additional fees before signing off. Hope this helps someone out there.
