Plumbing Rescue was called by an 86 year old widow, who was sick and had a sewer stoppage. They were called because of a $79 clear any drain advertisement. They were unable to clear the drain and dug a 5 x 5 x 5 foot hole even thought the sewer line was only 2 feet below surface. The technician ran a camera through the line and said that the line had collapsed and that roots had grown in it. Cost to repair would be $8942. They would give a discount if widow would become a Plumbing Rescue member. With savings, the job would only be $4987. They were told not to proceed any further because the price was outrageous. She was made to initial a bill for $699 for work done so far. Technician claimed the dvd was broken on machine so could not provide documentation for collapsed pipe or roots.
Tim Sexton, Channel Manager for Plumbing Rescue also stated, verbally and in writing, that if this problem was not taken care of soon, roots might grow into hom and cause a back-up, including damaging dry wall which would be much more costly.
This upset the widow.
Next day, a reputable plumbing company was called. There were no collapsed pipes or roots in drain. This company provided a dvd of the line for documentation. New company was upset that an open sewer line and large hole were left. Line should have been closed before technician left.
New company cleared drain by removing a cap, closed cut sewer line and installed a clean-out, filled the hole left by Plumbing Rescue for less than $1225.
Plumbing Rescue was called to one of my rental homes in Tampa, Florida to clear a main drain. I met the plumber there and he seemed kind of young, but acted the part that it was a major thing and used a snake that was very small in diameter about the size of my pinky finger to clear the drain. He showed me pictures of what the the inside of the drain probably looks like and tried to upsell me $1800 to clear the drain right with pressure. I was not going to be sucked up ion his line of BS. The advertisement they lewer you in is any drain cleaned $79. Needless to say the drain clogged right back up within 8 hours later and tenant called me. I do not have time to dispute these types of companies. Anyway I called The Drain Team and they were on the same trac that I just explained and they get there business from the P----d Off people. Anyway They cleaned the drain and charged me $156 and is guaranteed for 30 days and backed with the Better Business Bureau. If the ad is too good to be true it probably is and need to stay away. Do not call this company....You will be sorry you did.
This company is terrible. They con people and especially women who live alone, and older women. I have read MANY bad reviews on the internet, I wish I would have checked earlier. I guarantee the good reviews are all from the people who work there, and if anyone wants to rebut my accusation go for it, I firmly believe this company is the worst thing out there. I called for a simple toilet issue, all of a sudden $7000 later I have two new toilets, septic tank cleaned, and jetted pipes. ALL OF WHICH I NOW KNOW WAS NOT NECESSARY. They admitted that they jetted the pipes and it didn't work! They will come in, and use a black and white camera to look at the pipes, they will say they are dirty and need to be jetted - they will add on as much work as possible. Then, they will leave, and a week later or so something will break. THey will come back and use their color camera this time and find that "oh no" so much work needs to be done, they basically need to replace all of your pipes and it will cost $17,000. They will take your social security number, and birth day, and drivers license number to do a loan check for you - surprise, you will be approved. They will not give you a receipt for the job or an invoice. When you ask for one you will be given one that has been pieced together and is a photo copy, clearly stating it is fraudulent bc your signature will be on it, but the receipt will be like a puzzle they put together. So anyways, after you get a second and third and fourth opinion you will learn that everything they did (septic tank, jetting, b/w cameras) was unnecssary and overpriced. They admitted that the jetting was done incorrectly the first time. Why they didn't use the color camera the first time beats me. If you're dumb enough to read this and still use them make sure they use the color camera from the get-go. They will say the color camera is expensive and only on certain trucks, well tell them you want that truck out there, DUH. When you complain they will say what htey are doing is ethical and right. Then, they will fire the NICE workers who just do the work, it's the people higher up who are shady and wrong - they fire the guys who do the hard work. It's not their fault though, it's the company as a whole. They need to be
stopped. They do this repeatedly and it's disgusting. Don't use them! With so many other companies out there take your chances and use them, but I have found it's the small companies, the guys who work for themselves that are the most
honest. This company is hands down the worst and people are onto them, if you have had complaints about them let the county know - they can investigate for you.
