Went to Plaza Optical in 2013 and ordered trifocal eyeglasses with Crizal lenses. Paid over $300 with a "friends" discount. Got an "official" Crizal certificate of authenticity and cleaning cloth. Among its other benefits, Crizal claims to virtually eliminate glare from oncoming headlights, bright streetlights, etc. when driving at night. However, from the get-go the glare I experiemnced with the alleged "Crizal" lenses was FAR WORSE than with either ther naked eye and my previous set of glasses. I went back to Dr. Bohn and complained about the glare. He said the glare was caused by the lenses being TOO CLEAN, andthat the glare would diminish once "a little dirt" accumulated in the lines separatiing the various segments of the trifocal lenses. I recently purchased new glasses at BJ's Wholesale Club, with the same features as what I was supposed to have gotten from Plaza Optical, with the excdeption that the glare reduction factor was not Crizal. The glasses were far better in every respect than what I purchased at Plaza Optical, but the price was less than half of what I paid Plaza--"discount" and all --two years earlier!
Needless to say, I will NEVER do business with Plaza again. Not giving the customer what they paid for and insulting their ntelligence is no way to build repeat business.
