I got a call from a strange number. When I picked up, the man on the other end (trying hard to put on an American accent) was telling me I could have a degree within 10 days. It would be based on my work experience which I have a lot of so I believed the whole thing a bit more.
On top of getting the degree, I was told that it would come with all the authentication docs from the US Govt just to prove it was all real. I need to get it attested for the UAE otherwise its of no use to me. The Us Govt docs didn't come with it. So right now, I have some expensive pieces of paper.
Because Pine Hill told me it would cost me $2000 to get the degree attested for the UAE, I decided to get a quote from a different company who specialises in attestation. They replied saying "we cant help you". Further research showed that getting a degree attested for the UAE Govt actually costs closer to $200. Where does the $1,800 go? No idea.
And to just make it all the better, they spelt my name wrong on the docs! So it is literally useless to me. A degree has to match your actual name for it to be of any use!
If the situation isn't rectified, Im going to get my peace by contacting the local news companies in the UAE where most of their business probably comes from. Im sure my story will turn people away from Pine Hill.
