They use several different company names ( Pier Master, United Constructions, etc) but its the same guy, he goes by J.D/J.R./R.E. Link.
He uses the same phone number 8322676078
I hired them to do concrete work and they did about Half what i paid them for and never returned. He does not return calls.
They Job they did do was sub standard...( I paid them for a concrete pad for a spa and a new walkway, they poured the pad too thin and never finished the walkway, the frames are still there 3 months later )
I hope there is a special place in the afterlife for such as these.
I hired Pier Masters of Houston or whatever name they are using that day to repair the rotten wood under my house. My exterminator told me the outside frame board was completely rotten. When JR Link showed up to give me an estimate he was extremely nice and sounded like he knew his business. He was contracted to replace the rotten wood that we could see then progress to look for any more needed repairs.
Another reason that he got the job was because he took home a dog that someone had dropped off. Like an idiot I thought he was a good person to take a stray dog home to his kids, so I felt safe in choosing him for the job. At least he did do that or his forman said he did anyway.
My house sits on a slope the main part is on piers upto ground level. A previous owner added a bed and bath at the ground level. It appears that when the addition was done they dug down to where the new rooms would be level with the existing house. The one rotten board was replaced something must have went wrong because the house moved about two inches in. The threshold is now about one inch lower and two inches away from the patio slab.
Being disabled when he came to me saying they were finished I was not able to crawl under the main house to see if everything had been completed as he said. About two weeks later i was doing some cleaning and found that the job was not completed. The outside boards on the other side were just as rotten as the first. I have tried calling him so many times i have lost count, he will not answer my calls. I filed with the BBB and that was a waste of time.
When he asked for his last payment he ask me to write directly to him. I did not think much about it at the time, but i found out later that he went straight to the bank cashedthe check then told his workers there was a hold on the check. As far as I know the crew never got their money.
Long Story short I am out $5000 my house is in worse shape than to begin with and being on a limited income I can only hope the side he did not do and the blocks don't touch the wood, doesn't fall in. I don't like to wish anyone bad but if anyone deserves what they get I hope his comes back in spades.
