I went to the Pet Assure website in January after I received a great code from a club I am a part of. I put my information in and went to purchase the plan but interestingly enough, there was no place to enter my code. I had a feeling that if I put my information in, it would charge me full price and I would have to fight to get my money back.
Weeks went by, I forgot about the code and I saw a groupon ad that would give me the plan for the same price. I purchased the Groupon, knowing I wouldn't have to worry about thier site being glitchy, put in the code, then proceeded to put ion my information, when at the end of everything the system told me I was already a member! Now, I knew I didn't have a plan with them so I called.
The CSR "Beca" or so she says, was not a good listener. She looked in her computer and told me I was already a member... HOW??? I do not have a plan/there was NO transaction once I found that the site would not take my code. I had not PURCHASED anything! She proceeded to tell me there was nothing she could do and as I tried to ask her to explain to me WHY I was considered a member without any benefits, she felt as thought she didn't want to speak and said "Ok. Ma'am. Good Bye". I then asked to speak to a manager and she told me "I am the only one in the buidling"...really???
To make a long story short, I realize that Pet Assure could care less about the customer. The fact that there are discount codes offered but, if not careful you will end up paying full price for a plan. On top of that, they try to slyly keep you from discounts by adding you to a membership when you dont even have benefits just so they can make you pay full price.
Keep your discounts and your bad CSRs. I will make sure that my group plasters this fiasco all over the site.
