I ordered the LivLean Formula #1 (90 day supply) & also the Perfect Omega TG (90 day supply) online on Sunday 4/27/14. I paid $322.44 including s&h. I did not receive the products in the mail until Tuesday 5/6/14. There is proof of the date I received it because I had to sign for it.
I started using the product the same day I received it & followed the instructions listed in the emails. About 2wks afterwards, I started noticing edema in my legs & ankles. It subsided after 2wks but then came back again. I went to see my Dr & brought the supplements with me. After getting the results of my blood tests, he recommended that I stop taking it.
This product did not work for me & I followed everything to the letter. On Thursday 6/26/14 I called the company to request a refund since it had only been 50 days from the date that I started using the supplements & they state that there’s a 60 return policy. When I called, a recording stated that I was the 1st caller in line to be helped. After waiting on hold for 28 minutes, a recorded message came on & said "all representatives are busy, leave your name & number then someone will call you back within 24-hours". I was shocked & upset that I would have to leave a message after waiting on hold for so long but I did as instructed & clearly left my name & number but never received a return phone call.
I called back again the following Thursday 7/3/14. After leaving a message at 9am & again at 1pm (waited 25 min on hold), I finally was able to speak to a live person when I called back a 3rd time at 3pm after holding for 19 minutes.
I was told they would not give me a refund because the "policy" pertains to 60-days from the date of purchase. I asked to speak to a Manager because the website does not specify purchase date or date that the product was received. Furthermore, when I called last wk Thursday, that was indeed 60 days from the date of purchase but no one returned my call & I have my phone record to prove that I was on hold with their company for 28 minutes.
The manager proceeded to argue with me & continually restated the same thing about their "company policy" to only give refunds if a customer wants to return products within 60 days from the date of purchase. I asked her name & she told me it was Whitney. She refused to give me her last name stating that she was the only person named Whitney who worked for the company.
This company is a scam & I think their supplements are actually water pills because of the reaction it had on my body. I'm relatively healthy & in shape individual. I just wanted to use this to enhance my health by detoxing but it had an opposite effect on me. Their website clearly states that Perfect Origins wants its customers to be "completely and perfectly satisfied" and that's why they give a "60-day money back guarantee".
If they want you to try the product for 60-days then the guarantee should be from the date the product is received by the customer, not from the date that a customer orders the product. Also, if they want to make that rule about order date instead of date of receipt then they need to post that in an obvious place on their website where it can be clearly seen & understood by the customer.
Lastly, they need to stand behind their return policy by having agents available to assist customers who call. The 1st time I called; I waited on hold for 28 minutes then had to leave a message. After I left the message, I called right back & pressed option 1 for purchase instead of option 2 for order inquiry. As soon as a pressed option 1 a representative came on the line quickly & was ready to take my money & process my order. I explained to her that I was just on hold for 28 minutes after pressing option 2 & she apologized but said there's nothing she could do to help me with my return because that was a separate department.
This company is a scam that wants to take your money quick fast in a hurry but slow to respond when it comes to returning your money. They don't stand behind their 60-day money back guarantee & hide behind "so-called" loopholes. I refuse to be shafted & lose my $322.44 & have therefore disputed this charge with my credit card company.
I told Whitney (the manager) that I was going to dispute the charge as well as file a notice with the better business bureau & her response was nonchalant & in a smart-alek tone of voice just said "ok" before hanging up. I'm posting this here on rip-off report so that hopefully someone will see it before they make a purchase from perfect origins because this company is a scam! I made an impulse buy after watching their video. Had a taken the time to do my research & saw all the negative comments about this company online, I would never have ordered it in the 1st place.
This company doesn't deserve a single star. Disgusting experience with Whitney (no last name). This is the Business Operations Manager? Untrustworthy company with inferior product and less than decent customer service. Save your money and pick another company that actually works. WORST experience ever in ordering from an on-line company. How I wish I would have researched scamity.com before ordering from this place. Perfect Origins, you need to hire someone with better listening skills, and definitely someone who could enhance the possibilities of wanting to do business with your organization. I WILL NEVER USE YOUR INFERIOR PRODUCTS, NOR DONATE MY HARD EARNED MONEY TO THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND I INTEND TO TELL EVERYONE ABOUT MY BAD EXPERIENCE.
I read down in the last post that they finally refunded you as they say down below? I am appalled of these companies and there fraud BS. It's ridiculous because part of the presentation the doctor warns you not to fall prey to scams and he himself has one!! PATHETIC!!
I almost made the mistake of purchasing this product. Thanks for sharing your experience. Sorry for you loss. Hope they do what's right and give your money back.
You should report it to he Attorney General of your county and they would send them a letter stating that if they don't refund you then they would go after them. I am so glad I read your post! I was actually debating to get them. Wow!! I knew there was some kind of catch!
Thank you for taking the time to relay your experience. Much of the information about diet and today's foods is accurate, but if someone wants a "completely natural" supplement then they should eat these ingredients in the foods they consume. Large quantities of supplements in a capsule form or pill form are not natural. I was almost enticed to buy this product as well. I appreciate, but am sorry for your experience, you relaying what happened to you.
You say your doctor told you to stop taking it because it was making you retain water; yet later in your rant you state that you think its a water pill because of what it did to your body. Really??? Water pills make you loose water not retain it genius! You just wanted to keep the product while getting your money back looser!
Well the pills didn't work on you, everyone is different therefore peoples bodies react differently to what they intake and if you are a fit and healthy guy then you didn't need it unless you were regaining fat after losing it and whatever else the presentation stated, if not then the pill wasn't necessary. However what you said about them not refunding your order really sounded like a scam plus the description of the managers attitude sounded really rude and disrespectful, not that I have ordered it yet because I wanted to know from REAL people not the doctor if it is legit or not and this is just a huge outrage. But I'm not saying you didn't get ripped off just by not getting a refund but your level of satisfactory wasn't met either and that's supposed to be the companies job THEY are supposed to work for us to ensure and guarantee the safety of the pill and a full money back refund if the standards have not been met.
thank you so much for your warning! I was about to order it too after watching the video, so you are not alone ! thank goodness I found your review before doing so. They come off as being a little to smooth for me so i figured a little check up might not hurt and low and behold I found my gut reaction was right! thank's again
To the one listed as "your retarded". I believe this site can be very informative for individuals and see that the person you are raking over the coals is giving their actual feedback about a product. They are very articulate and getting the point across. A few misspelled words and a misdiagnosis on the water pill description doesn't give you the right to abuse them like that. At least they are leaving usable information. I believe you may work for this company and are very offended that someone would put down your product. The only reason I can come up with for someone leaving such WORTHLESS information. This might come in 2nd to yours as I have never tried the product, but I am very suspicious after reading their review.
... Or maybe his dad? Sounds like some dumb 11 yr old who wrote that. Trust me I live in Indianapolis near Carmel and those kids are quite often spoiled little brats. He's probably worried that if daddy's magic beans don't sell he won't get his Porsche for his 16th bday. I'm gonna go check this place out I know the address.
The ugly words from retard (no name) bothers me. He or she missed the point and are very rude!!!
The water pill or not is not important, the main message that for the guy who sell the pill would be more honest if wait people at a dark street corner with a brick and hit them on the head and take their valet.
Human trash like this is a pollution/ dirt of the society.
Thank-you for posting this review. I always check reviews before I purchase a product. Customer service is so important to me and based on your experience, I would never buy a product from this company. Thanks again for saving me a lot of money.
I agree with You! that was my very thought as well, that this was a schrill if not the good Doctor himself, trying to do some Deceptive Damage control, and after seeing how crooked they were with this young lady who had every right to get her money back, after the good DR. repetitively stated a full 60 day no questions asked money back guarantee! in his high pitched video disclosure, I am appalled at what a scam this company is whether or not the product works I would not do business with them because of this deceptive policy of there's I would be inclined to believe that the product works about as well as there return policy! And I almost ordered it! till I read this young ladies review.
To the one listed as "Your Retarded", before you take the liberty of trashing another contributor, take a spelling and grammar lesson, will you? Your, really? Perhaps if you had a shred of intelligence you would have known it is spelled "You're" . So in response to YOUR post, YOU'RE an idiot.
It seems that the original poster has hit a nerve at Perfect Origins. First, let me say thanks to the original poster as I was very close to ordering this crap. I also want to thank the "Your retarded" poster. Obviously he/she is a employee of Perfect Origins. Such a reaction simply supports that this is a scam.
So, thank you, thank you, thank you for saving me the time and money in not purchasing this stuff.
Thx for above warning - this company targeting the usual vulnerable people. People really need to understand liver function to know the claims by living lean are nonsense.
Eat less - eat more less processed food ( esp in the USA. Avoid fast food outlets as tho your life depends on it - for it may well! ) buy raw fresh ingredients n cook your food - not difficult or time consuming. Fresh fruit n veg........ All very common sense.
Don't give your money to con men with daft claims. Get informed - eat simply and well - have a long walk every day......... Then u will look n feel great!!
very well said, these guys first poison people with processed food, another take your money to cure you with more processed food. Never eat anything made in a factory buy other con artists, and do not buy "supplements". My 5 cents worth.
Every bit of advice you gave on common sense eating, exercising and living well are music to my ears. Although I will run, not walk, away from Dr. Livingston's miracle pills because I read the very helpful review, just enough of his claims are truthful to be tantalizing as a product that could really help, with liver cleansing and therefore, restored fat metabolism.
If you are interested, there is a book called "the Vitamin Bible". I used it as a reference tool, many years ago.
( I could hope it's been updated.)
Milk thistle is good for liver detox.
Selenium, found in brewer's yeast is good for lung function, and has B vitamins as well, which one needs for nerve function.
The list goes on and on. All of these supplements can be purchased separately, much less than Dr. Livingston is charging. Following the recommended dosage and/or consulting with your physician it's important, because there is always the possibility of toxicity, if too much of anything is taken. Kinda defeats the purpose of cleansing the liver, don'tcha know. :-)
A definite NO based on the "real" 30 day returns policy.
I thought, before I part with my money, I would dig a bit deeper and the response I first read made my mind up. Retaliation to the comment related to the person being retarded made me realise not only were staff rude but supposed reviewers, were incredibly offensive and clealy do not have a grasp on the English language. If we are going to bandy about the term retarted then perhaps the old saying "people in glass houses should not throw stones" is appropriate. People who want to lose weight are often desperate. My weight gain worsened after steroid infusions for my MS and led me to watch the infomercial but this treatment is not for me. If it doesn't work I need assurances that I can rely on the thirty day money back guarantee. Delaying outgoing postage of the product is a dubious cop out clause. If you really mean what you say in the video presentation, which I did watch and listen to, then stand by yiour product and your claims. Otherwise you become one of the shady companies you criticise say are conning us with their raspebrry ketones, acia berries etc.
I have to agree that the individual who keeps posting comments must work for this company. Why would anyone else post more then once in regards to a complaint. I was looking into purchasing this product, however, I will spend my money elsewhere. I believe the events of the post and the claims of poor customer service. I also believe that the company is continuing to provide poor service by posting your retarded. My claim is that you are retarded and thank the person for posting her experience online. Now since I do not work for the company and will not be trying this poor product, I will not be posting again. However, I am sure if I check back your retarded will have something else negative to say.
filing a complaint with the BBB might help; however a complaint with the state attorny general of indiana wont hurt either. you can do it on line just google Indiana State Attorny General and you should get a complaint form to fill out .
I want to acknowledge that this is our first response to C. Gordan's review. We have not and will not ever use such negative and inappropriate words as previously thought by other reviewers.
Yes we have updated our website and “Our Guarantee” page to further reflect the 60 days start from the order date. That it is more clearly stated and visible to all of our Customers and not just in the fine print as C. Gordan has stated. This was not done recently, this was done almost immediately after C. Gordan contacted us to help prevent any further confusion with other Customers. We do understand that if one customer wasn't sure of the policy and the instructions, then there would be more and it was our obligation to clarify.
As far as her receiving a full refund, she has in fact received a full refund for her purchase price of the Perfect Origins products she ordered. We have done our best to honor her request and have made further proactive measures and will continue to do so to provide quality customer service. We appreciate her letting us know areas of improvement and bringing this to our attention so it could be properly addressed.
Here is the link to Our Guarantee: http://www.perfectorigins.com/our-guarantee.php. We can also be reached with any questions or concerns one of three ways: Phone Support at 1-800-815-6073 ext 2 M-F 9a-6p, email at [email protected], or Live Chat at www.perfectorigins.com.
I was about to order this product and give it a try, but thank goodness I decided to check online reviews first. Sincere gratitude to the original reviewer for posting his/her "horrible" experience. No way am I purchasing from this company now...I think I will take the money I was going to use to buy LivLean and purchase a gym membership instead.
Build my own Livlean stack from amazon (bought the top 4 ingredients, take 2/day). I've lost 15 pounds over the last 6 weeks. I agree that the product through the company is ridiculously overpriced, but it does work for me. I've tried everything from maple syrup & lemonade (10 days) to juicing (lasted 15 days), but as we all know the weight comes back because I'm not going to do either of those long term. I do limit my soda and alcohol consumption to ~ 1/week and rarely, respectively. Hope this helps, Cheers.
It's kinda funny how all the positive reviews are literally phrases right out of the LivLean presentation. Some of the statistics and percentages they used to describe this were so exaggerated. Like, who're you trying to fool? My sister tried this livlean thing and there are zero results. People who are uneducated about the truth of their bodies fall for this stuff. If you really look at the ingredients and amounts, you'll know they are not even excessive amounts; no more than usual vitamins or even an average diet.
I saw this product while browsing the web for a supplement to my new diet and exercise regimen. I am severely overweight and need all the help I can get. I began using this product 6 months ago, yesterday and have nothing but good things to say about it. I feel that LivLean has helped me lose weight and keep it off. So far, I've lost 109 pounds. I've stopped eating wheat and have followed a very strict diet, which I'm sure has something to do with my weight-loss. In addition, I go to the gym 4 times a week for intensive weight-loss training. I've tried this method before with other supplements and nothing has given me these results. This product is great and has really helped me reach each of my milestones so far.
I purchased this product about 4 months ago and began using it as directed. I also stopped consuming wheat and wheat products as instructed. I have used this product as directed and so far haven't had any adverse side effects. What's more is that I have lost about 50 lbs. I do not exercise nearly as much as I should and my workouts are not intense. I love this product and will continue to use it.
I'm sorry but I just don't believe you. Losing 50lbs in 4 months without doing full on concentrated exercise sessions would be nearly impossible to achieve. Either you are some miracle person or you're from Perfect Origins! My apologies if I have wrongly judged your statements, but to verify such extreme weight loss would require much more evidence than a statement here.
My 1 star rating speaks to this blog and not the product. Drama, drama, drama over ONE bad review and all you can do now is talk about what "your retarded" said. Stop wasting people's time and energy by having to read all this drivel. You people obviously have nothing important to do, so zip it and get a life. Let's hear from people who have actually USED the product since that's what this website is supposed to be about.
I'll bet perfect Origins wish's they could have a do over now with the lady who they would not give her money back to, she cost them at least a hundred orders by now! lol
I am a current customer of Perfect Origins, and have been for several months, to be honest I am a bit shocked with the prior review, I have not had any issues with this company, I have been using the Livlean formula #1 and the super probiotics and in 4 months I lost 15 lbs which I felt was pretty darn good being that I didn't even change my diet, and to say the least I am not the healthiest eater... a bit too picky if you ask my husband and vanilla taste buds..needless to say they have been most helpful everytime I have called, I will admit I had to wait on hold but when I spoke to someone they answered my questions and let me know I could reach them anytime online by live chat or send them an email if I am unable to contact them during their normal business hours, they are always curtious and well mannered. My mom tried their products also but she wasn't a fan of the Livlean so she called and they issued her the return number, after reading the comment about not getting your refund I was concerned so I called my mom before posting this review to see if she got her money back and she said yes why.. that's another story. I just wanted to share my thoughts since I have had success and didn't even try. Best, Lynn
And thank you for sharing your story about the horrible customer service you received. I was about to go with the 6 month program but ... changed my mind ... quick!
I almost bought this product after watching their slick video. I'm glad that I read these reviews. This product is another scam. Basically, any product which promises that you will get results without changing the dietary or exercise aspects of your lifestyle, is a scam.
Actually, if you take just the free advice from the video - avoiding high-fructose corn syrup & stuff like MSG that makes you crave more food - you can make a difference in how you look and feel. Start walking/biking with friends and/or co-workers too and you cannot go wrong:)
A much healthier - and effective - way to lose the weight
I learned from these reviews that the LivLean regimen requires that the individuals taking the product stop eating any wheat or wheat products. That step alone (i.e., abstaining from eating wheat in any form) will ensure relatively rapid and substantial weight loss - you don't need to take a supplement like LivLean. I am diabetic and was quite overweight. My doctor advised me to stop consuming wheat. I read "Wheat Belly" by William Davis, M.D., and stopped eating any grain products, not just wheat. Also, at my doctor's instruction, I stopped eating starchy food (potatoes, corn, rice), as they - and grain products - are high in sugar (this includes supposedly "healthy" whole grains). Over 4 months I have lost 35 pounds. And I'm not starving myself at all - I eat all the meat, poultry, fish, pork, nuts, cheeses, eggs I want. Even more important than the weight loss, my A1c level (other diabetics will know what this signifies - basically, if your level is over 6.4, you're diabetic; if between 5.7-6.4, you're pre-diabetic, if less than 5.7, you are not diabetic) - anyway, my A1c level went down from 6.5 to 5.6 over the 4 month period. I made absolutely no other changes to my lifestyle. I do not exercise much at all. ---- And most importantly of all, I did not take any LivLean capsules along the way. There are no magic pills - just a healthy diet.

Thank-you for posting this review. I always check reviews before I purchase a product. Customer service is so important to me and based on your experience, I would never buy a product from this company. Thanks again for saving me a lot of money.
Who's "retarded"?
First, the term "retarded" is offensive and secondly your title should have read You're Retarded. So who's the genius? Certainly not you, jerk!
Thanks for the review, it was helpful keeping the rest of us from wasting our money
David
I agree with You! that was my very thought as well, that this was a schrill if not the good Doctor himself, trying to do some Deceptive Damage control, and after seeing how crooked they were with this young lady who had every right to get her money back, after the good DR. repetitively stated a full 60 day no questions asked money back guarantee! in his high pitched video disclosure, I am appalled at what a scam this company is whether or not the product works I would not do business with them because of this deceptive policy of there's I would be inclined to believe that the product works about as well as there return policy! And I almost ordered it! till I read this young ladies review.
To "Your Retarded"
To the one listed as "Your Retarded", before you take the liberty of trashing another contributor, take a spelling and grammar lesson, will you? Your, really? Perhaps if you had a shred of intelligence you would have known it is spelled "You're" . So in response to YOUR post, YOU'RE an idiot.
RE: Your retarded
Obvioulsy this person is not very intelligent...First of all, it should be YOU'RE not YOUR. And you don't 'loose' water, you would 'lose' water.
I agree, it is obviously a scam! Any reputable company would have issued a refund with all that documentation.
Your retarded
It seems that the original poster has hit a nerve at Perfect Origins. First, let me say thanks to the original poster as I was very close to ordering this crap. I also want to thank the "Your retarded" poster. Obviously he/she is a employee of Perfect Origins. Such a reaction simply supports that this is a scam.
So, thank you, thank you, thank you for saving me the time and money in not purchasing this stuff.
Re: Your retarded
No, it's "you're" retarded...not "your". And it's "lose"...not "loose", you retarded loser dumbass!
Milk thistle
Milk thistle used for liver detox is only meant to be used short term, no longer than 30days
Please be careful with supplements and consult your doctor before using
Yet another scam.
Yet another scam
very well said, these guys first poison people with processed food, another take your money to cure you with more processed food. Never eat anything made in a factory buy other con artists, and do not buy "supplements". My 5 cents worth.
yet another scam
Thank you for this forum.
RE: Your Retarded 2
I have to agree that the individual who keeps posting comments must work for this company. Why would anyone else post more then once in regards to a complaint. I was looking into purchasing this product, however, I will spend my money elsewhere. I believe the events of the post and the claims of poor customer service. I also believe that the company is continuing to provide poor service by posting your retarded. My claim is that you are retarded and thank the person for posting her experience online. Now since I do not work for the company and will not be trying this poor product, I will not be posting again. However, I am sure if I check back your retarded will have something else negative to say.
advise to retarded 2 or any body else
filing a complaint with the BBB might help; however a complaint with the state attorny general of indiana wont hurt either. you can do it on line just google Indiana State Attorny General and you should get a complaint form to fill out .
Perfect Origins Customer Rep
Thank you for your response
Its good to hear from an individual from the company.
Crap
I just ordered a 3 month supply of this s#=t and now reading all these post has me livid!! I'm so mad at myself for ordering this worthless crap!!
No Way!
No way
I've been burnt before. So glad I read these reviews. Has anyone emailed the good dr.? Will not be buying.
Somewhat positive review
Build my own Livlean stack from amazon (bought the top 4 ingredients, take 2/day). I've lost 15 pounds over the last 6 weeks. I agree that the product through the company is ridiculously overpriced, but it does work for me. I've tried everything from maple syrup & lemonade (10 days) to juicing (lasted 15 days), but as we all know the weight comes back because I'm not going to do either of those long term. I do limit my soda and alcohol consumption to ~ 1/week and rarely, respectively. Hope this helps, Cheers.
SOMEWHAT POSITIVE REVIEW
Will you be kind to share with us what did you use that helped you shade 15 pounds? Thanks.
nope
It's kinda funny how all the positive reviews are literally phrases right out of the LivLean presentation. Some of the statistics and percentages they used to describe this were so exaggerated. Like, who're you trying to fool? My sister tried this livlean thing and there are zero results. People who are uneducated about the truth of their bodies fall for this stuff. If you really look at the ingredients and amounts, you'll know they are not even excessive amounts; no more than usual vitamins or even an average diet.
Product does not work
Just change your diet and take supplements you can buy at the store for $20/month and get the same results
6 month review
6 month review
you said you have being on a strict diet and work out in the gym 4 times a week intensively, this alone support huge wight lost
Finally some results!
Finally some results
another company associate
50lbs???
I'm sorry but I just don't believe you. Losing 50lbs in 4 months without doing full on concentrated exercise sessions would be nearly impossible to achieve. Either you are some miracle person or you're from Perfect Origins! My apologies if I have wrongly judged your statements, but to verify such extreme weight loss would require much more evidence than a statement here.
You've all lost it.
My 1 star rating speaks to this blog and not the product. Drama, drama, drama over ONE bad review and all you can do now is talk about what "your retarded" said. Stop wasting people's time and energy by having to read all this drivel. You people obviously have nothing important to do, so zip it and get a life. Let's hear from people who have actually USED the product since that's what this website is supposed to be about.
poetic justice1
I'll bet perfect Origins wish's they could have a do over now with the lady who they would not give her money back to, she cost them at least a hundred orders by now! lol
Satisified Customer
Best, Lynn
Why so many bad review?
Because he is a dr. of cracking your back not a medical doctor.
Glad I checked into the reviews...
And thank you for sharing your story about the horrible customer service you received. I was about to go with the 6 month program but ... changed my mind ... quick!
Yet another scam
I almost bought this product after watching their slick video. I'm glad that I read these reviews. This product is another scam. Basically, any product which promises that you will get results without changing the dietary or exercise aspects of your lifestyle, is a scam.
Retarded??????????????
The person or persons that keep saying this are low life scumbags and should be removed....their level of wit is sad
Thx for this feedback!
Seriously you saved me!!! Bad customer service is so not worth a try...
Crap
I just ordered a 3 month supply of this s#=t and now reading all these post has me livid!! I'm so mad at myself for ordering this worthless crap!!
Thank you for your review
I was about to purchase this as well but found this site. It's always great to have sites like this to avoid getting ripped off! Thank you!!
I feel for you all...
Thanks
