On Fri Aug 15th, 2014, My Mom had 80th birthday party in this place (People Convention Center in Irving, Texas). First of all, when we went there to decorate the place in the afternoon of the event, the hall was not clean. We actually vacuum the place by ourselves and on the night of the event, I was flabbergasted when Police was called on us that we need to shut our party down @ 2:45am. Actually, the contract stated to shut the music down by 4am and to vacate the hall by 6am. My Uncle, Dr Demmy Ogunbanwo paid and signed the contract with so called the owner ( an Ibo Guy), which we later found out by the Police that the place has been subleased to one Mexican guy that do not have clue or knowledge of our contract. The party could have been more fun if we had the opportunity to stay till the end of our time. Anyway, my advice to anyone that want to rent this place is to run opposite direction to look for a more organize Convention Center to use for their event. This is a sorry management.
