These vpeople run a website suggesting they can trace the addresses of people from their phone numbers.
The website has a graphic, that, when you enter the number and push "search", it suggests they have found the address, and all you need to do is give them $9.99 and they will share the information with you.
When I did that, they didn't, in fact, have the address, and suggested that they would do a more thorough search and get back to me. When they didn't I told them I wanted a refund and they said they would, as "your complete satisfaction is important to us". Howvere, after 5 or 6 months, and several emails from me there has been no response.
I suggest this website is a scam, collecting $9.99 from each sucker, an amount they probaly think no one will chase after.
Signed up to look up the identity of a phone number that has been calling me. The website advertises a "No Results, No Charge" guarentee.
They, after around 24 hours, wrote that they were unable to find any information about the number I searched for, and gave me a CREDIT on their site for a future search. Not that they were refunding my money, that they were leaving me a useless credit to re-try a service that didn't work. Essentially, I am being charged for 1)A failure to meet their side of the transaction, and 2)An opportunity to gamble that they MAY be able to succeed on a future phone number. As I have no ned to look up additional numbers, number 2 is useless.
This site is simply a scam to take money. There is ZERO actual responsibility for them to even TRY to find the information, as they keep your money either way. The results I received could have been accomplished by someone checking an email, doing NO research and replying that they were unable to find anything and the customer is welcome to try again. Repeat cycle.
