I bought a pellet stove motor from pelletstovepro.com. All was well until several months into using my stove. At times, the motor wouldn't start up. I had to remove the stove panel and hit the motor to get it to start up. I contacted Jason Munson, the owner of the business. He's a very hard man to get ahold of and if you're lucky enough to get him to contact you back, it won't be for weeks. Anyway, I was finally able to send it to Mr. Munson, they tested it and returned it to me saying the motor was fine. I continued having problems until the motor died completely. I finally got him to replace my motor with one he claimed had a 5 year warranty. 8 months later (and only 3 months of use) the new motor started making loud noises when running. I contacted Mr. Munson and like usual he sent the form to return the motor.
I needed the motor however since it was November and my house needed heat. In February the motor died competely. I returned it to the address Mr. Munson had specified. 2 1/2 weeks went by with no news. I contacted him and he said there was confusion, but my motor was not covered since they had already replaced the original motor. I had assumed the new motor was under warranty since he specified that he was giving me a 5 year warranty motor and had told me to return my old one. Why instruct someone to return a defective product in which they have to pay for the shipping, then refuse to cover it? I already had to spend money on shipping 4 times already to send and receive motors to this company. I shouldn't have to replace my pellet stove motor every year. I will never again do business there.
