My elderly neighbor had me go to the post office and mail this( I bought her an international stamp) for her and I knew it had scam written all over it. I guess I won't tell her her $25 is thrown away. She gets so many of these phony sweepstakes offers and can't afford them but she does reply to some. Arrgh.
I received an unsolicited letter from Paulson Independent Distributors informing me that I had won a large cash prize. I assumed that it was really an entry to some form of sweepstakes and for $25, it was worth a shot. I sent the mney (the cheque was cashed), but I have not heard another thing from them. Maybe Interpol or the Netherlands Fraud Squad need to get involved in this case, because I am sure that I'm not the only mug to have been swindled by these guys. Can we submit a fraud report to the local police?
First of all, their letter did not disclose the name of sponger for this fund, so I immediately became suspicious about this letter.
Second, the choice of the Enclosed Processing Fee: it said “ Check, Money Order, or CASH. “ I have never heard a legitimate company requests consumers to enclose cash for their payment especially; through mail. Besides, I guess a processing fee should be paid by the sponsor unless it is not a ghost. Or if we have to pay, it is normally happened when we receive fund, I suppose.
Thirds, if I won $1.5Million dollars, this letter must have been delivered by the certified mail or FEDEX/UPS, I believe. It came through a regular mail which can be a big chance to be lost.
Forth, I have started enrolling many sweepsakes held by a very well-known sweepstake company (always advertising a winner on TV, company X) since 3 months ago and this happened. I do not normally pass out my official name to the third party though; I had to use it for the sweep stakes. The letter showed my official name even without any typo. I wondered if all people who received this letter and been posting here have also enrolled the same programs which I had with the company X or not. If all of us did to this comapny X, most likely our information have been leaked or sold out to these scam bags. In this world, no company give us free money, they can sell our name/interest/address to anybody as high as $1,000/lead.
Finally, I thank to this site since people can realize that this is not the legitimate offer if they receive the same type of letters from Paulson.
If someone who does not believe this and still want to paticipate this, I have a suggestion for you. Do not even think to enclose your check since you are confirming all your personal data for them. Your real name/address and bank account are exposed to indecent parties. If you still want to try,you had better get a money order check from Walmart or any third party place to enclose.

These people who are interfering with our real chances of winning the real contests that we do enter with these stores and restaurants. Someone needs to put a stop to this because the people that get these letters are or maybe bad off need these winning breaks. So i guess i will stick with losing my money to bingo, lotto or casinos.
They need to stop sending these letter in my mail every dang day.Time to move.

I recieved a letter today that stated that I had won $978,779.77. It said that I needed to respond within 10 days along with a check for $25.00. Then is you look on the back in the Conumer Discloser it says that PID will send you a check for $9,678.99, $967.89. $96.78,$9.67 or $.96. Everything about smells like a scam.
If this was lagitiment, why don't the simply deduct the $25.00 fee and send you the rest. They would probably keep you $25.00 and send you the $.96.
