I still lease on with Paschall. What a scam. They sit you for days and throw dirt cheap loads on you when you do run. If I could leave I would but they have this ridiculous clause in their contract that I have to pay 4000 dollars to them if I take off before 9 months. OK I'll stay 9 months. But when it's done I'm gone and during my time here they better not do anything against the law. I have 9 months to plan my exit. Trucker justice is very familiar with PTL and this scam. Watch out PTL. SOMEONE IS GOING TO FIND A WAY TO GET YOU IN COURT. CAN YOU SAY CLASS ACTION SUIT?

Read and undetstand everything they give you in their orientation!!! Their orientation is fast paced, but they cant force you to sign something before you read it, even if it slows their class down. If you can use a recorder for all statements not given to you in writing (you may need them at a later date). Most drivers do a lease for the fredom. but if you want to be told how much fuel (that you are paying for) you are allowed to get and your fuel card will be shut off when you reach each load desttination. However the main thing for me was when i put the truck in a dealer to be fixed while under warranty when my settlement was due i was in formed my money was on hold because my truck wasnt available for a load. Really??? What rocket scientist came up with this? I was then told "its to pay the truck payment and insurance" Ok i have a deferment on the payment while its in the shop. this was never told to me that they would hold my pay for this. But if you want to be safe with working there take the paperwork to a lawyer to see if it will cost you dearly or not. If you are still going to get a truck dont let them pressure you to pick one. the company you will be leasing it from has other lots (you dont have to pick one the day you get there) they will send to one of them plus it may be a week or more before your heading to murray with it. If the truck has a wiring harness for qualcomm make sure you tell the lot not to remove it as it will cost you $500.00 for one when ptl puts it in even though mine had one when i picked it out it was removed before i got the truck prior to leaving for murray. I informed ptl i would be posting this and was threatend with a slander suit hmmm as far as i know you cant sue anyone for telling the truth!

It is June 27, 2015 and PTL is still up to its games. I'm still here as a lease operator. What a scam! They take 250 dollars per week for maintaining your vehicle. I tried to use it last weekend for an oil change and was denied. They took it out of my check as an advance. If you are having trouble with PTL call atty. Paul Taylor of truckers justice. 6514545800. Nice guy and he's familiar with PTL and their games.

The recrutier seth, told him they would put him on a bus from the closest station. Ok, they did that. He also told us there would be 1-1/2 days of orientation, which he would be paid $150.00 for. Ptl would pick up the tab for the bus, hotel, and meals. He received $75 on a comdata card on day 1 and was told he would receve the balance when he was dispatched on his 1st load.

During the "orientation" the trainer gave out incorrect and incomplete information regarding dot regulations in reference to on duty/off duty time during unloading, and neglected to inform drivers of the mandatory 30 minute break required during an 8 hour shift. When my husband questioned him about the break he acted stymied.

My husband arrived in paducah, ky The nearest bus station to murray) and was put on a shuttle to murray. He arrived around midnight and was to be downstairs by 6:30-6:45 the next morning to be shuttled to the training center. The 1-1/2 days of training conssted of pretty much nasty lunch, and a dinner vouch for the a place 2 blocks from the hotel. Kind of sucked the night it was raining. On friday, the day he should have been pulling out in his new truck with his first load he sat in the hotel in murray with absolutely no idea when he would be getting a truck and a dispatch.

On saturday he was asked to volunteer to go to louisiana and recover a truck - this truck would then be his assigned vehicle. He was told he would receive $300.00 for the recovery. So, he rode in a van for 8-10 hours to go "recover" his assigned truck. The person that drove the van was going to drop and run, smartly my husband told him if he left before they were sure the truck was operable he would find a way to the nearest bus station and head to the house.

Well, it's a good thing. The truck would start, but not run. After calling multiple mechanics, they couldn't find anyone to come to the location Mind you this is now saturday). Of course, my husband and the guy who took him to the truck were sitting for more than 2 hours before they were told no one was coming. Ptl finally called for a tow truck! no big rush on this, after all, the powers that be weren't stuck with a non-working truck miles from home, the day before father's day.

When the tow truck arrived, my husband and his chaffauer followed the truck to the shop and were put up in a hotel for the night. Sunday morning, they headed back to murray without the truck.

My husband was told he would still receive the recovery fee We shall see). Back in murray he was told to ride the shuttle back to the training center on monday at 10:30 am. While staying at the hotel he had multiple conversations with other drivers that were there for orientation. It seems the general theme was hurry up and wait, sit around the hotel, we don't have any trucks for you to take out, but we have a full hotel of "new employees". Some of these drivers claimed to have been sitting there for more than a week.

On monday morning my husband called the operations manager when he couldn't get any straight answers on when he would be assigned a truck. He was told to take the next shuttle to the training center so they could talk face to face. First, the shuttle drive left early - there is 1 shuttle per hour. My husband was asked what was wrong, and when he relayed everything that he had been told by the recruiter, and the reality of what was really going on, he told the man "either fix the problem and put me in a truck with a load or send me home" - he was given a bus ticket home.

After all was said and done, while waiting for my husband to get home, i called the recruiter, seth. I knew it was an exercise in futility, but i figured i would feel better. When i confronted him about what he had told us and what actually happened he back peddaled and made excuses. I finished the conversation telling him it would be really nice if when they were recruiting new drivers they would attempt to be honest, maybe let the guys/gals know, although they can't always promise they weill have a truck to assign to them right after orientation! i know that won't be done. I used to think military recruiters were the biggest liars, but the trucking industry has certainly topped them!

So, if you are looking for a truck driving position, i would not recommend ptl.

The LP program is a complete scam. If you go into their lease purchase program its not their program, you actually buy your truck from another company (Quality Carriers). There are a few things you should know before choosing PTL for this program(as this L/P program is available from several other carriers that Quality has approved, quality has a website with these carriers listed) first They steal $250 a week for a maintenance escrow you can't use, second if you decide to quit before 9 months they charge you $4000, third they hold back a weeks check. In the 6 weeks I worked here I made $1800 net, my loads averaged 42875lbs so most of my profit went into my tanks. then I needed a service on my truck, couldn't afford it with what I had been paid so I asked to use some of this $250 a week they've been taking, I was told no. I was later informed, once I decided to leave and take my truck to another of qualities approved carriers, that the reason I couldn't use that maintenance escrow is because they want you to have at least the $4000 THAT THEY CHARGE YOU TO QUIT in there. That is also the reason they HOLD BACK A CHECK, not only are they going to keep the $1500 I had in my escrow, they are also not going to pay me for my last 2 weeks I worked. This program is a complete scam meant only for inexperienced company drivers who desperately want a faster truck. Eventually Quality will pull the plug on this scam. Think about it, how long do you think Quality is going to continue to send someone to pick up the 20-40 trucks every couple of weeks, that drivers just left there at the terminal in Murray, KY after having similar experiences with PTL.
