I would never use this service if I knew now what I didn’t know then. Parker and Sons is a win / win situation …(for them). I lost my trust in what they do and say when they began to up-sell me from about the second service. Instead of attempting to fix any “problem”, it was immediately important for them to sell me a new system. It was easy for them to say, come up with a, (minimum of 7K). Then, After one of my last calls, I found out that the repair person also makes commission when selling a system. Tell me this doesn’t stink! How can you trust a your fix it guy to tell you the truth, when they are also your Sales Person who knows that they are going to make extra money by screwing you over. What do you think wins out? The service (through Costco) is on a Monthly Basis. You get a portion back, if you purchase through them.
This also gives them control over what you pay. If you use someone else, say someone who is cheaper (or a friend you can actually trust to tell you the truth), then of course, you loose your money you invested since day one. You don’t really have the option to shop around with Parker and Sons. Once they have you, they have you. None of this gives me confidence in Parker and Sons. I say wait till you need service, then go somewhere else. You will save your money and trust someone who will show you exactly what is going wrong, something they didn’t do on the Bill …and be able to trust what is being told to you, (again, if you use a Neighbor or Friend who knows their stuff). Well, At least you will know where you stand. Save your money for the Rainy Day (…by not paying the monthly fee). Stay away from Parker and Sons. Check out earlier reviews for similar comments.
