ParetoLogic Inc. Reviews

Our computer went down and we went online to find a repair service. Speedy Pc Pro whom we had subscribed to for 2 years advertised they could fix computers online. Their service mainly is getting people to subscribe to their program that checks the computer for virus' and problems.

They are called SpeedyPc Pro and also use the name Paratologic. Speedy PC Pro has technicians who through the internet come on line and are able to control your computer in order to repair it.

For three days in a row, there were three different men (who could barely speak English and sounded like they were outside the United States. The three men all had different opinions of what was wrong with the computer. We were without the computer use for three days as this is what they claim the amount of time to restore it to function properly.,

One of the so called technicans stated that we could purchase Panda which is a computer virus program that they claimed was sold for $500.00. We had Norton in our computer at that time and it was about to expire. We were told by the technician that they would give us a deal and only charge $150. We fell for their lies and untruths and they put the Panda program in, but did not give us a License key for future ability to show we paid for the program.

On the fourth day that Paratologic technican contacted us by telephone, he stated that the computer was repaired.

They charged our Bank Card for telephone calls for $3 and $5.00 They charged $250.00 for repair service or should we say computer distruction. When we used the computer it was worse than the way it was before they did their so called repairs.

We notified our Bank of the incident as quickly as possible. However, SpeedyPc Pro and/or ParetoLogic had already billed our bank card for the sum of $150. plus $250. plus telephone long distance calls. We requested our Bank to withhold the funds and they credited us the sum of $150 and $250.00 (total $400.00) they claimed they would get in touch and hear both sides of the issues (our's and Paratologic). Four days ago, our bank contacted us via Mail that they were going to re-charge our account for the charges they paid out to Paratologic (SpeedyPro) as the bank could not resolve the original complaint by us.

We are waiting for copies of the bank in which they will show how they contacted Paratologic (Speedy PC) and what information they had stated in response to the bank's inquiry as to our complaint and request that Our bank not pay the funds to Paretologic (Speedy PC). The bank sent us notice through the US Mail that they were going to re-charge us the $150 and $250. We have requested all the paperwork, telephone numbers, email addresses, names of people claiming to be technicians, etc. that the bank contacted and were in contact with regarding our complaint and for committing Fraud and Elder Abuse and for destroying our computer. We were not told what defense that Speedee PC stated or Paretolgic (also known as Speedee PC) presented to the bank in their so called defense.

The "RUINED COMPUTER" cost us $575 originally. We paid $400 to SpeedyPC (Paratologic) via SafeCart and we are awaiting hearing from Safecart.

So, we hope that all you other people out there, young, middle aged, or Older do not get caught up in this ugly situation we are in. We are 77 years old and pretty stupid for letting this kind of situation happen. We did however, end up by buying a Refurbished Dell Computer which is awesome from Staples. Best yet you get a 2 year guarantee that if the computer goes down, they will fix it or replace it.

A pop up offered to renew Pareto Logic computer security software for $39.95, but went to $29.95 with mail-in rebate. Wow. Ok. So I pay for it, print off the form, and mail it in like a month ago. Today I get an email that I did not include the receipt, so they can't process my claim. What? How did I get the rebate form in the first place? They provided it after I paid the renewal fee. The 10 bucks isn't the point. These guys are disreputable and I am going to delete their crap from my computer and get something from a reputable vendor. Would highly recommend deleting anything from them. I got in with them a few years ago for on-line computer help, and they hustled me into paying a monthly fee as they tranferred me around, and I never did get any help.

I was sold a Lifetime contrdact dfor 3 computers to detect Viruses and Malware for 500 Dollars, as well as a 12 months Tech Support for 220 Dollars. When I looked at the credit card charges, I was charged 250.00 $ for the Tech Support and Computer-Tune up. The Advanced Tech Support which pereformed the tuneup uninstalled seveeral programs, among them my Webroot Virus Protection and installed the PC-MRI program and McAffee Virus Protectiopn. The Salesman had told me that the PC-MRI will protect my computer from everything and that I do no longer need a Virus protection program. When I called Advanced TEch Support, I found out that the PC-MRI I purchased for 500 Dollars does not protect from Viruses and that Virus Protection Programs and Malware Progreams are two different programs.

I immediately cancelled the PC-MRI and again was high pressured to keep the program. I also cancelled the Auto renewal for RegCure PRO, but was again charged 29.95. Now I have no other recourse but to cancel my credit card. This Company is defrauding its clients. When is someone doing something to stop this Company from giving misinformation to its customers? By the way, the Technicians from Advanced TEch Report are very good, very patient and very friendly. I am very happy with them, but have reservations if they use Pareto Logic to lure customeres with false information and promises.

Pareto Logic comes up in the search engines as Microsoft Partners and people trust them to be honest because of the Micrdosoft name. I just can warn everyone to run as fast as they can when they are being exposed to high pressured sales and misinformation.
