F Howard and Willie Johnson and William B Nelson IV.I sign a lease were given keys and they asked me to move because I wanted a gate key to enter my apartment to move my things in.Willie Johnson got mad because I came to the office to ask questions about the unit I was moving into and did not give him the address of the apartment. I have a brace on both of my hands F Howard snatch the door from me and hurt my left hand

Willie Johnson wanted to take me to the apartment to move my things he said the manager had cancel the apartment he had hate in his eyes. William B Nelson told me to come over to the apartment someone would let me in to get my things.I started to cry he told me stop your crying I am not going to tolerate people like you he did not want to listen to my side of incident .those three managers terrified me I was happy to move my things the only thing I wanted was a gate key to enter my apartment. I met Ms F Howard several times each time I came to the office she always greeted we with a nasty attitude she never act professional. The gate key that Ms F Howard gave me did not work so I could not enter my apartment to move in so of my things.I took the keys back to the office located at 2231 E 71st St to inform Ms Howard that the gate key didn't work.the manger of the apartment building where I was renting the apartment was at the office he took the keys and went to check to see if the keys work the keys didn't work. He gave the keys back to me an told me he would have the gate key the next day 8-9-2014 Christopher mccollum didn't call me I did not have a direct number to call him so I called the call center they call the office at 2231 E 71st St 4 or five times the young lady at the called center sent a FAX to the office located at 2231 E 71st St.Christopher mccollum called me after he received the FAX from the called center.he called me and the phone rang a couple times when I answer the phone no one said anything. I called the call center and the supervisor told me to go over to the office because no one would answer the phone

I told her I was their to pick up the gate key she told me the key would not be until Tuesday she asked me did I have someone to stay at the apartment to let me in the gate I told her no.I ask the manager christhoper mccollum could I borrow his gate key because I had pay someone to help me move my clothes to the apartment he told me no.I ask for his direct phone number he said no l have only met manger christhoper mccollum 3 times each time I ask a question William B Nelson show up and answer the questions for christhopher mccollum. William B Nelson IV always answer the questions very negative or unprofessional.as Ms f Howard were entering the door of the office she said to christhoper and William Nelson that she was going to cancel my contact l was holding on to the door with my left hand she snatch the door and hurt my left hand. I have braces on both of my hands to keep my fingers from locking up .when she snatched the door she pull the finger back.I was holding the door to ask her why she was going to tear up my contract she told me you cannot come in the office. This issue occurred between 6/30-7/1/2014. On 6/30 I went to Pangea Real Estate located 19 S. Madison to pick up my apartment keys for an apartment I was approved for, got there and (Joesph) an employee was there to help. I was asked apartment number address which I didn't know because I was new to the area so I provided him with my Id Card, he told me I owned $100 dollars and confused I asked why and tried getting to the bottom of this issue.
He told me that was what the computer said he didn't know. Not trying to really hear what I was saying, another employee by the name of (Antoine A.) butted in telling me, that joesph was correct and started talking over me to another client that was in the office. While trying to resolve this issue I was treating like a child who had come into a candy store and didn't know what I wanted. Bad I tell ya, was how I was treated rude comments like "Do you know your name, all because I didn't have the address to my new apartment. I was made fun of.
I asked when will Bryeanna be back, because she the one told me the set amount to bring in which was paid in full, but the computer was telling them something different.. Mistakes happen. They told she would be back tomorrow but no matter who i talked to i'll still be owing $100. Fine I left saying i'll see you guys tomorrow along with Bryeanna. 7/1/2014 I walked into 19 S. Madison because this is my move in date I have all the paperwor to back me up, let me get my keys.
I waited awhile and was called to Bryeanna's desk and begin to explain how yestersday I was told I owe $100 and wanted to know how. I pointed out to her that Joesph and Antoine A. didn't resolve my issue in a proper way she said fine looked in the computer ro find I didn't owe anything. Before I couls get another word out of mouth Mr. Antoine A. goes "She owe $100 dollars because she don't know her address" Funny to him from the day before.
So I let Antoine A. know politely as I could that I wouldn't be disrespected let I had been the day before because I have my son with me. Smh! Disagreement gets high everybody playing the blame game the "ZONE LEADER" steps in and try resolving the issue telling me I was "WRONG" for how I went about things. We agreed that I would be handed keys after I said that if my money could be returned I'll walk away.
Fine I was told to meet Bryeanna in front for the keys. Got my keys a couple minutes later, go to the new location only to be "GREETED" by none other than Mr. Antoine A. no knowing what was going on, Me and my 4yr old proceeded to the apartment, got to the top floor and none of the keys worked. Oh Mr. Antoine A. locked me out of my apartment with my 4yr old son with me and movers on the way, "HOW PROFESSIONAL" get back to the leasing office and was told that i'd have to wait for a manager to see why my keys not working.
decided to call "corporate" only to find out my lease was terminated in a matter of minutes because "Antoine A" felt threatened by a grown up disagreement. Smh! I would never recommend anyone to this office, it's full of unprofessional inviduals fro management on down. Very Poor customer Service these people don't have regards for people not even children my son was with me the whole time I was disrespected.
I feel he should be reprimanded to the fullest extend, this was handled all wrong. I had to call off work, because of the back & forth to the office! This was a very bad experience and I won't quit until something is done to these unprofessional. Make me want to start my own real estate company to show them how it goes. I was told by pangea workers that they dont do credit checks or worry about long time criminal offenses and all you need was proof of income and they denied my apartment application
On Monday, February 16, 2015 the Zone 4 Leader for Pangea Real Estate and Pangea Equity Partners, LP performed an illegal lockout on a tenant who is currently in the hospital. The management is not educated in dealing with tenant issues, they refuse to come to the property to investigate any tenant allegations and have no tenant remediation procedures in place for such issues. By not getting involved with tenant disputes this puts all residents in harms way. Managements refusal to intervene with tenant disputes will lead to someone getting seriously injured. It appears that the well being of the tenants living in Pangea's properties is of no importance. Anyone residing in the Pangea's properties should make sure they obtain a copy of the City of Chicago Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance Summary from the City's website.

Pangaea Real Estate hire very young and unprofessional young men and women in Chicago to manger their properties.They have hired only one older property manager and her name is Fanny Howard and she is not a professional manger. Fanny Howard and Bill T and William B Nelson IV make their own leasing rule.Their is no one to complaint to at Pangaea real estate. The young women at the call center and the young managers at Pangaea leasing office on 2231 E 71st Street work together. These young mangers are to laid back they have been in one place to long they have become to comfortable it is time to break up the young Pangaea mangers and hire some older and experience mangers. William B Nelson sit behind the back wall at the front window and listen to the questions people ask at the window and if he do not like the questions he appear from behind the wall and answer the questions negative and unprofessional. Please do not give him the address of the apartment because he will cancel your apartment he do not care if you have sign a lease and have keys.
