My wife booked a bear viewing tour for the two of us for September 3, 2014 but due to a family medical emergency we had to cancel this trip (almost 3 weeks) prior to the planned tour date. This tour cost almost $1,000 and was paid for up front via a credit card. Like all his tours.
Greg Palmer, the owner of the tour company, agreed in writing to refund my wife her full tour amount of almost $1,000. However no refund was ever given. Every week she e-mailed him and he would still maintain he would give the full refund. But then weeks turned into months with one feeble excuse after another. Now the end of November there is still no refund and now no more communication from him. It seems he is famous for his promises and not falling through. Certainly not a man of his word even when he puts it writing.
Beware Folks! You have other tour operators out there.
