My husband and myself wanted an easier solution than doing renovations constatntly in our home.. We started looking at mobil home communities. We found a great one, with population around our age, and not to large.
So, we started to look at homes. We went to Burleson. They had some beautiful ones, differents types and costs. We liked the G.M. john. We told him we really wanted the option of having 2 masters, and an office. He called the manufacture, and they showed us a floor plan that could be done the costs was under 1000.00 Sounds good..lets go ahead.
I took my daughter to see the home we like and we chose some other options like no tubs, or bar, just an island. We were completely happy.
In the meantime we put or house up for sale....It sold in 4 days. wow We went to let john know the house sold and he was gone...A new G.M. was there Erice Adams. He introduced himself, explained to us he, walked into a mess...blah blah blah... but h'd be happy to work with us.
So we told him our house sold and we were closing on Sept. 23. We needed to begin the building process so we wouldnt have to be in a hotel very long. He said as soon as I get the down Payment, we can't start anything without it...look I'm by the book...BLAH BLAH..BLAH.. So if we put 25,000 down on the 23rd We can still be in our house by the end of Oct.? Oh no, it will be at least Nov. I told him we can't possibly be in a hotel and our belongs in storage for that long.. He said you have 2 choices 1. do it, or 2. go somewhere else.
I was appaulled, we had a substantial amt. of money and he seemed to be pushing us house. This should be a far better experience then this. He was so cold and rude all the time telling us, he wanted to work it out.
I told him we would decide, I cried all the way home, to have got this far and for him to treat us like this. I felt he was weeding out people he thought was to much trouble, so I called and told him I wanted my 500.00 deposit back, we were done.
