Spinnaker offered me the deal for a two bedroom condo in branson (required tour) followed by 6 cruise tickets on 6 or 7 different cruiselines from which to choose, and an orlando condo stay (included another tour). They reduced price from $299 to $199 and we decided to purchase.
Called and made our reservations on June 26 for July 24 - July 27, 2014 stay. Didn't have a 2 bedroom condo available, said I could pay $25 per night extra for 3 bedroom condo. I agreed and received a confirmation by email. Today, a week before vacation is scheduled to begin, they called and said they didn't have a 3 bedroom condo, but they could give me two standard hotel rooms. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.
My 15 year old daughter who has Down syndrome has been doing nothing but talking about our Branson vacation for over two weeks now. My marine son was flying in from San Diego to join us, we have show tickets purchased. While the supervisor was supposedly checking for a condo for us (2 or 3 bedroom would be fine), I googled for condos in Branson. I found one, and I mean only one, available. I made the reservation -- $541.04 to be exact. But, at least my kids would not be disappointed. When they finally gave me the bad news, I told them I was tired of being angry about the situation, and just give me my money back. I want nothing to do with them or their unethical tactics. They told me customer service would either call or send me money. I told them I did not need a phone call, just send me my money. Now I have to decide how much value that $199 has versus how much stress it will cost to get it back. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
I am going to call Missouri Attorney General's office. I may file a small claims lawsuit also.
