I received kinda the same email and when something looks too good to be true it usually isn't. Supposedly the new hire orientation is for tomorrow but I am not wasting my time. I did the questionnaire and a couple of minutes later received 3 calls from universities which I found weird because they could obviously see in my resume that I'm currently going to school. Since I received this email I've been having a bad feeling about this and look it turns out to be a scam.
This is the email I got:
Let me be honest, I'm prepared to offer you our Office Assistant position because Lauren Smalls at the WeHireCenter spoke so highly of you...she's my sorority sister (wink). However, our senior level administrative role is usually reserved for someone with a advanced degree. The good news is, I will still make you a serious offer and bring you in to finalize everything with our hiring team. Please understand that in order for your job offer to become official, you have to share your educational goals with us. It's the only way senior management will support my hiring decision. You will hold a very important position within our organization and be handling sensitive company information out of our financial center. The starting salary is $46,500.00 with great health/retirement benefits. This is a great opportunity if you're looking for job stability and a great work environment. We also pay extremely well and promote quickly! I will give you a call to answer any of your questions once I receive your completed questionnaire. New hire orientation begins this Thursday January 8th at 8:50AM and I want you to start with that group.
Share your educational goals in as little as 3-mins at http://osagemunigroup.net/hired.html
You submitted quite an impressive resume. In fact, you are the perfect candidate for five (5) administrative job openings we have available in your local Default Value area. I work directly with the hiring managers at companies like State Farm, VISA, Asentra Health, DirecTV, Tyson Foods and Fannie Mae...just to name a few. I would love to jump on a quick 15-minute call to see if you're ready to work for any of our partner companies. I promise to get you hired within 3-5 days. Email me back with the best time to call so we can discuss these opportunities in detail.
I'm in the office today until 6PM (PST). Email me back with a time to call and we will move forward before these positions get filled. Thanks Default Value!
I am so disheartened by the fact that, not only did I receive the EXACT SAME "OFFER LETTER" (via email), it disgusts me to think that smoke would think this type of shananagins is remotely acceptable in today's economy. Intentionally giving an unemployed, legitimate career professional false hope for a better and brighter future is cruel.
I received the exact emails from both Lauren & Jordan.....I am appauled to say the least! How can anyone even get a legitimate job anymore??!! I have applied to numerous/countless job opportunities only to receive SCAM job offers!?!? I am a single mother of 3 young children who desperatly needs a job, but I am not by far so stupid to not check on these offers anymore....THANK GOD for "scam reports" or I would fall prey to these as well. I hope more people check out these offers & hopefully one day we can put an end to this crap!!!! I am disgusted with these people!!!!!!!!
PS.....I hope the stars are for the person who posted this scam info & not for the scammers!
I MY SELF RECIEVED EXACTLY THE SAME EXACT THING JUST SLPA MY NAME ON IT WAS THE ONLY DIFERENCE! But before I decided to call him because, little did he know that I was currently enrolled online for business admin. I gave the option for "lauren" to call me at a specific time, she ony replied with am email. Then I decided to look them up online and on linkedin. Got Zilch but saw this!
BE VERY AWARE AND WEARY! If it siunds to good to be true, it is!
This is terrible, People are really looking for jobs, and this come along. Give me a BREAK... THIS IS A COMPLETE 100% SCAM... Please don't waste you time...
I have received an email saying I got the Office Assistant job but I need to take the educational survey before I can start to work. They said usually a person with a degree holds this position but Lauren Smalls gave me excellent rating because of my resume. Of course the job paid 45,500 annually. I sent an email for him to call me but of course never received a call. I wish scammers would get a prison term for tricking people by false pretenses. Scammers will answer to god when it is time and they will burn in hell. I tried to call the company but again of course it was always busy. The mans name was Jordan House @ osagemunigroup.net, he was the new hire manager.
I got the same two emails from Lauren Smalls, and Jordan House. These scams are terrible. Many people are looking for a real job, and these individuals like to scam innocent people to give their information and waste our time. I am glad I looked this up and seen these reviews because it prevented me from sending my personal information to them. I appreciate the warnings.
.....and to think that I thought this can be REAL ;( How disappointing.
I got similar e-mails and I responded to them.....wonder what generic reply I'll get to my heart-felt e-mail to them on how excited and grateful I was. I can just scream right now!!! %$#!&*@!
I got an email from a Lauren Smalls in San Diego saying the phone number they had on file for me was invalid. I emailed back, asking what number they had on record for me and also asked where we would meet, since I'm in another part of the country. In response, I got an email from Jordan House saying Lauren had highly recommended me, blah, blah, blah. Whatever.
I managed to get one of these emails straight through to my inbox and not my spam folder. I too was informed that the phone number that she had on file for me was incorrect. I emailed her back asking what number had she previously tried for me and that I was surprised that their California office was contacting me as I was on the East Coast.
This is the second time I have received this exact same e-mail. First time was back in September when I first posted my resume on all the job websites. I asked them to remove my name from their list as I could tell right away it was a scam. I guess they wanted to try again. How annoying, stuff like this should be illegal. It is just sad that it gives some honest people with good intentions false hope about the possibility of a new job. How does this company sleep at night?
Save yourself some time and don't reply to this. It is not real, convincing as it may seem...it is a SCAM.
I received the same exact emails that you guys are posting, and to think I was excited to have gotten an offer so quickly. I am so upset but at the same time, I'm glad I keep doing my research on these offers, this is the 5th one in less than 2 weeks.:(
i just received these emails and thought it was too good. this is what i just received>You should receive a phone call or email from a financial firm named Osage Group within the next day or two. I have a great relationship with their hiring manager Jordan and I recommended you for their Office Assistant position. I also spoke to the hiring managers over at Aetna and VISA on your behalf but they didn't seem that excited because they already have plenty of candidates in their pipeline. As a result, if anyone from Osage Group reaches out, I strongly suggest that you consider their offer. They pay their administrators more than Aetna and Visa but they usually want someone with a graduate degree. My contact Jordan said there is a way she can work around you not having an advance degree, so hopefully they will reach out to you!
stating that my social security # had been used to open a MasterCard account with a high balance and that my wages would be garnished or taxes would be taken. Im currently investigating these claims. Be warned!!!
