Feeling cheated, here is my saga! I came across Optimsiing.com.au and I decided to use their online marketing services (SEO), as they work with Richmond football club and I’m a loyal Richmond supporter (go Tigers!!!!).
I’m a small business, so my budget is limited and I didn’t have money to waste so I contacted several online marketing seo firms for quotes. Optimising was at the upper end in terms of price and didn’t offer guarantees, but they seemed professional during the sales process so I dived in and gave them the green light. From what they discussed during the sign up process, I believed my business would jump to the next level. Please keep in mind, this was a huge move for me, so I needed to be 100% sure.
After I paid for seo services, the service level dropped substantially, borderline disturbing. To get my seo campaign going, took far longer than I expected. After bombarding them with emails I finally got a response with reasons why there had been delays. After further research into the delays (I took matters into my own hands) I found out they outsource much of their work overseas. This may explain the delays.
Before joining Optimising, my site was ranking quite well on both Google & Yahoo which may have been due to the content I had written. I emphasize it was ranking well, until the Optimising team got their hands on it. A few months after joining Optimising, my positions were going backwards. I had an SEO firm in the States give me a free seo report which outlined problems with the site. Apparently Optiimising were building unfriendly Google links to my site. According to the report, these links do more harm and good and can actually get your website penalized on Google. Even though I’m a passionate Tigers supporter, if a mate asked me to recommend an SEO firm, Optimising would be last on my list.
