Went to Oodle Marketplace and found a boston terrier puppy I wanted to purchase. Could only ,email or text Nelly Brooke. Sent him a text message via my cell phone. Received a text back requesting my email address. He said he had some questions first. Gave email address to him and he emailed me and I answered the questions. He emailed that I would need to go to Walmart and purchase a "U LOAD IT CARD" with a specified amount of money on it for the purchase of the puppy. He said that, once I did that, I needed to call him with the 10 digit code so that the puppy could be released to "U-Ship Transport". My husband and I checked the manifest to see if the puppy was registered for shipping and no record. We called Walmart and they said that they discontinued those cards and that this was a scam. I emailed him and stated that "we did not feel comfortable with that method of payment and asked if there was another means of payment". Received text back stating "What are you trying to said" and then all communication ceased. Basically , he wanted the code to get money and no puppy was coming to us. It also took 5 requests for a pic of the puppy, of which I believe was from a legitimate pic of someone else's puppy. I decided to look at this website more carefully and discovered that just under "Boston Terrier Puppies for sale", I found the number 720-449-6846 listed to 5 different people in five different states. The names were ethnic names. How is that? I read some other complaints from other people today about the same thing happening to them with other purebred dog breeds that were posted on "U-Ship Transport" web site. I believe that these people overseas have set up this elaborate scheme to defraud the citizens of the United States of America for pets that do not exist and if that is so, the Webmaster needs to shut these crooks down at Oodle Marketplace. While these criminals did not get money from me, I feel sorry for other people that have been scammed by them. Never do load cards or cash. Use your credit card that is a zero fraud liability. For my state, I have filed a report with ice8 (place that investigates internet fraud and scams) and I have saved all of my emails and texts for this investigative agency. Beware you crooks, I'm letting all know what to look for on Oodle Marketplace with multiple number people in different states having same telephone. That's a red flag right there.

Wow. This was a scam

Every ad I answered was met with poor English/bad spelling replies. Every single one was located in a different state than what the ad stated. Like a previous reviewer, the wife had died etc. very disappointed but will just look for more reputable dealers.

We are looking for a certain breed puppy within a certain radius of our home. When on the Oodle site we found quite a few at very reasonable prices. We filled out the form to have the owner get back in touch with us.......... none of the 9 did at all. Then I went back to the site and texted the #(865###9102) indicated asking some specific questions and included our email address.

At this point I did receive a text message saying to send them my email address so they could send pictures and also wanted to know what breed I was interested in ( which I had already told them).

Yes, I did receive an email with a lot of pictures of puppies. None of the puppies that I had seen in the original post. Included was the sob story about now being in Spokane, WA because father had died and he was the one doing the breeding. Included an extensive questionaire for me to fill out so they knew i was a reliable owner.

The original phone number (865###9102) was also used for a completely different listing from another town and state. Totally I got 3 emails saying the puppies were in Utah, NC and WA. I have copies of all the texts and emails. Another give-away it is a scam is the incorrect use of words and misspellings. I did notice the same picture of a puppy listed under different names, locations and price. Just had different backgrounds.

How heartbreaking. We are seriously looking for a puppy and get jerked around by these scums. I answered letting them know the discrepencies I had noticed and stated I would not deal with them at all. No money at all was exchanged.

There has to be some way to shut down this site.
