I went to an interview with OnpointOc after being told they had hourly positions available over the phone. For the "interview" they had me ride out to Chino with a woman named Chola without telling me where we were going or how long it was going to take before I had even been hired. I was not expecting any of this and they were very vague about what was going on, it turned out I was supposed to follow Chola around while she solicits businesses door to door disregarding the no solicitor signs. I had told them I had a very important appointment I had to be at in the afternoon and I was not expecting to be taken out to Chino. I was dressed for an interview wearing high uncomfortable shoes and by the end of the day my feet were bleeding. I felt like a hostage since she told me we were going to have an interview and I end up in Chino with no ride back to OC and my phone locked in her car. She had no regard for the fact that I needed to leave and ended up telling me at the end of the day they only pay commission. I missed my appointment because we didn't get back to OC until 6pm, my interview was at 9am. I was locked out of the building at the end of the day when I was supposed to be filing of the paperwork.
OnPoint OC or OC Advertising Solutions..... two companies working out of the same office. Well how do you know which company your applying too! you don't! the ""HR team"" sits on the phone with you saying how much the manager wants to interview you, yet they can't even tell you which position you applied for. At first it's sports marketing so you'll be doing events, ""light sales"" representing sports teams across the country and family fun. Than they start talking about raising money for charity non-profit...... wait so I'm going to be raising money for charities and marketing for sports teams. That sounds alittle fishy. Oh course once you ask ""oh well my manager will go over that with you in the 20 min first round interview"" So your manager is going to go over both companies in 20 mins than ask me which company I want to work for since you can't give me a clear answer to which position I'll be doing.... Hmmm, makes no sense! Than when you ask about pay be prepeated to get a long sentence with no answer! ""Well we do pay hourly, base, and commission, we have different pay structures depending on your resume"" Okay so we can all agree whoever hires you will go over pay with you but your HR and your email told me to call you because your hiring manager reviewed my resume and wants to interview me so if your hiring manager really did review it than you can discuss pay with me over the phone. I've never had a company calling me and emailing me multiple times asking me for an interview and not be willing to go over pay with me. It's a simple answer. Well when you google ""OnPoint OC or OC advertising solutions"" you will soon find they are BOTH based off commission ONLY! Don't be fooled by the ""HR TEAM"" and their witty answers to your questions. It's only so they can get you in to their company and lie to you more.
if you do get scammed and end up sitting in their office with probably about 7-10 other people sitting in the lobby with you, you'll soon find out how much of a scam they really are after talking with the other people who are also there for an interview also not knowing which company or position they applied for.
After sitting there with 7-10 other people someone finally asked the blonde chick at the front about the company, of course she keeps saying ""my manager will go over all that with you in the interview"" yet when a very nice man asked her a simple question about pay because he had to hurry up with the interview to drive to his current job. She got all angry and walked into the other room. Honestly I don't see how you can't give us a starting hourly amount, oh wait you can't if it's not hourly!
Once your finally in the interview, you will truly realize how much of a scam it is. Of course Beth ""hiring manager"" keeps ranting about the companies to try to get your mind off the pay subject but once you finally bring it up she try's to go around the question with asking me how much I want to make. I don't see how it is such a hard question when your the hiring manager and that's who goes over pay with you, don't forget that's who Kylie ""hr manager"" said was going to discuss pay with me. If you finally big her enough she will finally tell you both companies are COMMISSION ONLY! Don't be fooled by events because your not doing any type of events, your doing door to door sales! No events no talking to managers or anything like that like they discuss with you on the phone. It's straight door to door, door knocking trying to sell padres tickets or family fun tickets!
both of these companies are fraud! I'm pretty sure the only person who gets paid hourly is the ""HR team"" oh wait there is no team, it's just one girl on the phone sending the emails. Also don't bother asking for Beth's email or event the owners to further discuss the job or pay because all the emails get sent to ""HR team"" oh wait I mean Kylie Stone!
I find it very rude and unprofessional how she can sit on the phone with people and just lie about what the position is and saying it's not commission when you really do only get paid based off commission, there is no other pay structure! It's commission, selling door to door!
Dont be fooled people! It's just a scam!
Please continue to write more reports about these two companies, they are a rip off, fraud and scam! I am surprised no one hasnt tried to file a law sute with them yet due to all the lying and fraud they are pulling!
