In October 2012, I purchased the top of the line (at the time) "Auto Tain" DVD headrest system for my 2005 Hummer H2. One of the main reasons I purchased this particular model is it was advertised as having last position memory/last position playback. This is when the DVD player is turned off via the vehicle's ignition, it will resume playing at the same place on the DVD as opposed to starting over each time the vehicle is turned off. When I had the system installed shortly after receiving it, it worked fine, but I noticed there was no last position memory. The DVD's my kids were watching were always re starting from the beginning each time the car was tuned off. I checked with the installer and was told, the players were functioning properly. After emailing "Brandon" at OnFair.com I was told, that there may be an "update patch" available soon to rectify the system not having the last position memory/playback. I waited almost a year and a half and never heard anything, so I emailed on May 15th 2014, and was told to recheck the setting on the DVD players; which I did. On May 19th 2014, "Brandon" advised me in a another email, he pulled a similar remaining set off the shelf; and it DID NOT have last position memory/playback. I then followed that up with an email asking why it was advertised as such at the time? I have not received a follow up response. I feel this was outright false advertising. My kids have to manually fast forward through whatever DVD they may be watching to the spot they were last watching, every single time I stop and turn the truck off. I would have purchased a different DVD system had I known it did not have the last position memory/playback. This was fraud and akin to the old "bait and switch" in my opinion. Onfair makes a nice product, but they should have stood behind THEIR mistake on this incident.
