I am concerned because of the report that I read here regarding a fired One Roof Energy sales representative that described the experience that my family member is experiencing. My elderly aunt leased a system with One Roof Energy last July. It has been nine months and the panels are still not in her rooftop.
I contacted the sales representative that came to help my elderly aunt with the lease and she kept on reassuring me that the delay is due to the changes that the local public utility company is requiring. Months went by and still no update and no response.
The sales person that helped my aunt calls her every now and then to check on her. On her last call, she mentioned that it might be a funding issue with the lease that my aunt has. She explained that because her contract was placed under a fund that is in-house financing,This in house fund is for people with lower credit scores. She said it might take a while to install her panels. This was never mentioned to us in July when she came to sell us the lease.
My aunt has a very high crdit score and has never had problems getting credit. The salesperson tries to explain to us the process that goes on with solar installation but there are things that do not add up. After reading the ripoff report by vibrant1, it all makes sense now. It seems like they are just trying to sell leases that they can not fund or fulfill. This best describes my auntie's experience. I am still trying to contact them since I need to know if we should find another company.
I urge the public to not work with this solar company since they seem to take advantage of our local people and hide. They are predatory and take our islands for a fool!
