So Office Max is in the theft business now. I went into the store and bought an Hp all in one printer-copy-scanner-fax. Luckily, I paid with my card and not cash, so I can see on my bank statement. They pulled out 103.42 from my account on 1/6/2015. So I purchased the printer and had it DELIVERED. I live on the other side of Brooklyn and didn't feel like lugging a giant printer with me on the bus. They say they'll deliver it in three days. Cool! I wait three days. NOTHING. I wait a week. NOTHING! I call them. They say they have to call me back. They don't. I call again. They look up the order "Oh, something happened." They don't tell me what. "Well send it right away". Fine.
Another two weeks fly by. NOTHING! I call. "Oh, we have to call you back!" of course they don't. I call. "Well, it says here your package was delivered on the 16th! Oh, but that's not your signature.. Its just a slash mark..." WTF?!?!?!?!?! A SLASH MARK? Didn't the delivery guy think it was strange that whoever they delivered my printer too was like.. A giant upright BEAR or something?!?!
I'M trying to be as calm as possible but I swear everyone at office max must be drunk. ALWAYS!! They are piss drunk all the time! I finally say to hell with all of this, just give me my money back. "Um, yeah, well have to call you back..." EEEERRRRRRRRR!! I call back today 1/29/2015 almost an entire month later. "Oh, we're really sorry about this. I wish I could offer you a refund but WE'LL HAVE TO CALL YOU BACK!!"
Absolutely Ridiculous! I don't think I've ever purchased anything from an office max store and you can bet I never will again! When you MESS UP your supposed to give people their money back immediately! Let alone this month long festival of errors and disrespect that office max has given me for my 103 dollars!
Lovely employees. Lovely store. The gentleman who helped me out buying a computer the other day was an absolute love. The manager, Cindi I believe is her name, is a complete B word though, and seems to treat her employees like garbage. I visit the store once or twice a week and have heard her berate associates on more than one occasion.
Just the other day I overheard her snapping at an employee in her office over something that sounded extremely trivial. (I'd rather not say what it was to protect that employee.) I feel so sorry for them.
How people like that make management, let alone keep it, I'll never know.
Sadly, because of this totally disrespectful behavior that this particular manager has around "her" employees, I will not be coming back any time soon.
