Bought 3 Galaxy tabs from this company through Amazon. One was broken when they arrived. Sent email to let them know and was sent a return label to return the damaged item. I packed it back in box exactly the way I recieved it and sent it off the next morning. Several days later I got the damaged item back with no packaging in a mailer envelope with a note saying I broke it so I lose my money. Was not even able to turn item on as it had a damaged charging port. Very bad customer service on thier part. But even worse was that after I contacted Amazon directly about the issue they also said I should just keep the unusable item that was delivered. What am I to do with a non-working tablet? Has no power or a way to get any.
The items you are purchasing are not from Amazon, I don't care what your screen says. If you open the message from these scum bags, you are authorizing a so called "purchase from Amazon." I repeat, it is not Amazon. DO NOT, I SAY AGAIN, DO NOT OPEN THE MESSAGE. Set your email program to load the header of messages only. Even if you see Amazon in the return address, it is not Amazon. When you open the message, you are verifying the purchase. They have been working on me for a couple of months. First, change you user name and passwords for Amazon. Second, change your password to your email. Nuf said.
Went to amozon.com placed an order threw 3rd party oceans electronics,#305-741-2136.for a playstaytion3 bundle 2games.I got a defective playstation3 and no games.they knowingly ripped me off.should of bought a new one rite off the bat.lesson learned.thank you oceans electronics for the value of a great lesson.
I give a one star because I don't see any negatives. I bought, or I should say purchased or placed an order for, an APC H15BLK power conditioner from Reef, through Amazon. I received a poorly packaged, and what appears to be a used item H10BLK. Not even what I ordered. I tried to cancel the order after I placed the original order and they stated it had shipped. I have seen negative reviews from this company and didn't want to risk what just happened to me. Amazon was somewhat helpful, but evidently they don't answer the phone from Amazon either, and there phone number tells you to contact Amazon.
The original box I received had many removed tape marks, open box for sure, and the item is stated as being new...not so. I would venture to say it's probably a return or a refurb.
This rip off merchant sells defective electrnics, (probably knowingly) then when they are returned they inist it was not defective and charge a 20% re-stocking fee. It is a very sleazy way to make money of junk electronics,I got caught up in this after buying from them as a seller on Amazon market place.''I had to get amazon to intervene and refund the 20% they deducted. It is NOT worth the strees and hassle of buying from these guys and putting up with their defiant, blunt and rude customer service.
It was a horrible experience and I do not want anyone else to go though this nightmare.
I am lucky bought from Amazon who took care of me otherwise I would have lost $50 to their scammy scheme.
DO NOT BUY from these thieves, they specialize in selling garbage, then, when you reutrn it, they inisist there was nothing wrong and charge you a20% re-stocking fee. They are a seller on Amazon and I had to get the AMazon folks to intervene.
I bought Windows 7 Home Premium in order to upgrade my computer from Windows VISTA. I didn't know that was the wrong software until Microsoft informed me it was.
Having dealt with Amazon (I'm a Prime member) for many years & thousands of dollars in purchases, I requested to return the unopened item the day after I received it. I was never informed that I would have to pay the return shipping plus a 20% restocking fee. Learned that after Ocean Reed Electronics received the software & issued me a credit.
I called Amazon & they informed me that the purchase was through a 3rd party and I need to read their return policy before I buy the product. I asked how was I to know who was a third party. I should have read who the seller was first (again read the small print). After much searching [it was located at the very bottom of numerous screens and insignificant lettering] I read in their return policy: "Restock Fee: 20% Re-stocking may apply on all Non-Defective conforming Returns and undelverable packages." They need to take out "may apply" and put in "100% certain".
I emailed (BTW there they have no phone number that I could find) Ocean Reef Electronics & the summary was that I should have read the small print.
So in summary, I would like to warn everyone to not buy from Ocean Reef Electronics unless you are prepared to waste your money if the product is not what you want.
Also, in buying from Amazon, be real careful if you are buying through a "Third Party".
