I, like many others here, was foolish enough to fall for a FREE GIFT for filling out some internet poll. A bottle of Garcinia Cambogia - just pay shipping! Well, only a day or two after receiving this "free gift", my credit card was charged $89.95 with an international processing fee. After searching online, I finally found a phone number for the company. The support person was initially surprized that the fee shows up as "Cleanse Gar" from London, and claimed that it wasn't his company. Then he admitted that it was his company, and refused to refund the charge because (laughing) I hadn't read the fine print. Now they are trying to charge my card again. I may just have to cancel this card, and call my $180 loss as a life lesson.
Similar to the people above. I ordered a free sample at the cost of £4.95. 2 seperate transactions in January have left my bank account £175.26 lighter!!! The products didn't arrive until the 9th February. I have instructed my bank to monitor and block any similar unauthorised transactions withdrawn under different names. I have also cancelled my bank card as a result.
This company has taken £160 out of my account for a product they said was free and I don't even have the products to return and get my money back. I have been cheated out of my money and I think this id very evil.
This is a huge rip-off! The company is supposed to be located in Maine but I was charged several foreign exchange fees by my bank so, obviously, this is NOT a company operating in the United States!
They promised to let you try the product for free (plus shipping and handling) for 30 days. If you weren't satisfied, send any unused portion back. I received it on May 22, 2014 and on May 24th they charged my credit card for $79.97. Then on May 27th, they charged an additional $89.95!
When I called their customer service number, they told me they would not accept any returns--even if the seal was still on the bottle--and did not give refunds.
This completely refutes the information they sent with the package which states that the product can be returned within 30 days for a full refund!!
Tomorrow morning I am contacting my credit card company to dispute the charges!
