Made first purchase 04-29-2014

Single bottle with no auto-ship.

Second unsolicited bottle charged to account on 06-02-2014

Called to cancel, went thru nightmare phone menu's to finally arrive at cancellation menu.

Menu stated successful cancellation.

Third bottle arrived 07-02-2014

Wife spoke to Jamica who took info and announced that all was cancelled and to return the bottle for credit.

Jamica claimed no record of first cancellation.

Authorization number requested from her resulted in her promise to send E-mail with the info.

Still Waiting

This is my first move against them.

I will escalate if they continue to play games.

I first ordered a month supply of product from Northstar Nutritionals in late 2013. I thought it was helping me and I ordered a 6 month supply. They asked me if I wanted to have recurring orders evry 6 months. I agreed, only after confirming with them that I could cancel at any time.

In about February, 2014, I mentioned, to my doctor, that I was taking the product. He told me that due to my medical situration, I should stop taking the product immediately. After he told me this, I called Northstar Nutritionals and told them what my doctor said. I told them that I sill had a lot ot the product on hand, but would simply "dump" it, but that they were not to send me any more. I specifically mntioned that I had signed up for 6 month recurring orders and I wanted that to be cancelled immediately. I was told that they would cease all future shipments to me.

On May 21, 2014, I received another 6 month supply in the mail. I immediately called Northstar Nutritionals and questioned as to why they sent it to me. They also has already charged my credit card for $214.70 on Ma 13, 2014. They said that I had a recurring order for every 6 months. I became rather irritated and informed the person I talked to (she only gave me her first name as Lorraine) that I was assured the no future orders would be shipped to me. She said that all I had to do was put the "Return Label", which was in the box, with the product, on the outside of the box and send it back and then I would be reimbursed for my purchase. I taped the label to the outside of the box and went to send it. I was told that the label was not a "shipping lable" and I would have to pay about $25.00 for the postage. Now, I was really ticked off.

I took the package home and called Northstar Nutritionals again. This time I was informed that the company never paid for return shipping. I said that if I had ordered the product and then wanted to return it, I could understand such a policy, but they had inappropriately sent me the product and they should pay the return charges. I was rudely told that they simply did not do that and if I wanted credit for amount I was charged for the product, I sholuld simply pay the return postage, or I would get nothing. I finally took the package to the post office and paid for the postage, myself. I also tracked the package, so that I could have proof that it was delivered.

I believe that this company is cunning, unscupulous and downright dishonest. Please beware of the fact that if you purchase anything from them, they wll simply continue to try to get money out of you, even if you did not order anything else from them.

abysmal customer service

A 1 star rating is still too high for this firm. Emailed firm 1st Aug requesting they cancel autoship and delete my personal details from their database. No auto acknowledgement of my email (if other firms can do this for their customers why can't North Star?) 17 days later - NO response.

Will keep adding reviews of various customer service websites in the hope that the firm reads these and responds - they certainly are not interested in customers once they have you card details

It pains me to read this this experience. I can see there were many opportunities to make this a smoother process for you. Let me start by saying that we do in fact provide shipping labels for packages that were shipped when the fault is our own. As you were wrongfully informed I would like to offer the chance to make it right by reimbursing you for your shipping costs (if that is possible).
