Ordered 'Industiral' lift made by Vestil Manufacturing online with our Mastercard and receive item which we paid almost $900.00 for our company employees to help lift product and to minimize in injuries related to heavy lifting.
Item was received direct ship from Vestil Manufacturing around 2nd week of February 2015. By the first time using lift it would not remain level while the mast was winched up. By the fourth time using the lift the winch released and the lift veered forward and almost crushed an employee with 250lb of ice machine. [Lift is rated to lift up to 450lbs].
Also noted that the lift bolts on the frame started to become loose and backing out. Tried to lock-tight the bolts and would not stay in cheap frame.
June 10, 2015 Contacted Northern Tools for a return based on defective and misrepresentation of an 'Industrial' Lift. That is when they claimed that it only has a 90 day warranty. NO WAY! This was not disclosed with the lift upon online purchase and it was not disclosed by the manufacturer with the paperwork received with the lift.
Called Vestil and spoke to Greg...who transferred us to Tarique in Engineering. Tarique started to tell us he could see we were using the lift wrong??? Really Tarique you can access your third eye and remote view psychically to the defective lift sitting in my warehouse. I told Tarique he could not see anything since we did not send pictures, he did not have the lift in his possession. Then Tarique said he was assuming we must have done something wrong and wouldn't even entertain the fact that the item was defective. Nor did he ask for pictures or to return the lift for their review.
This told us right away Vestil Manufacturing and Northern Tools have no interest in selling quality or stand behind their products. Tarique told us he would email us a form which we of course never received and Northern Tools is standing behind the hidden from the customer 90 day warranty timeline.
Bottom Line.....do not buy anything from either Vestil Manufacturing or Northern Tools because no matter the defect they will try to back out of any warranty or returns. You will get no warranty information at time of purchase and when it fails....which it will....they will make up the warranty verbage to ensure you cannot return the item. This is bait and switch marketing at it's finest!
The worst customer service ever. These idiots sent me a title to a trailer in someone else's name, then they will not fix their mistake.... Two days of BS.... I filed with my CC company and getting my money back....buyer beware!
