I WAS SKEPTICAL OF CHOOSING A COMPANY LIKE NORTH AMERICAN MASTER LINES BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T COME OUT TO DO A VISUAL EVEN THOUGH I HAD A FEW COMPANIES COME OUT AND DO SO. NORTH AMERICAN HAD A GREAT REPUTATION AND ALSO A GOOD RATING. THE OTHER COMPANIES GAVE ME A WEIGHT OF 10,500 POUNDS. WHICH WAS 4 MONTHS BEFORE I WAS PLAINING ON MOVING, I DID LOCK IN A RESERVATION WITH MY SALES REP HARRY WHICH ASSURED ME I WOULDN'T PAY A PENNY. IM NOT GOING TO LIE BUT, I DIDN'T GET RID OF THAT MANY ITEMS THAN I ANTICIPATED BEFORE THE MOVE. BUT I WAS UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT I DIDNT HAVE TO PAY ANYMORE THEN I WAS QUOTED FROM NOTH AMERICAN MASTER LINES (HARRY) BEING IT WAS A BINDING NOT TO EXCEED PRICE.
WELL LONG STORY SHORT MY WEIGHT CAME IN AT 11750 LBS AND MY PRICE INCREASED AND THEY ALSO CHARGED FOR PACKING OF MY TV'S AND MATTRESS COVERS. I BELIEVE THAT THEY WERE ALITTLE OVER PRICED BUT I MUST ADMIT / APPERCIATE THAT NONE OF MY ITEMS WERE BROKEN OR DAMAGED DURING THE MOVE. NORTH AMERICAN MASTER LINES DOES DESERVE MY RESPECT FOR COMPLETING THE MOVE AND ALL OF MY VAULABLE ITEMS BEING IN PERFECT CONDITION. I WILL RECOMMEND NORTH AMERICAN MASTER LINES TO ALL FOR THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDED BUT THE COST THAT I WAS PROMISED WASNT THE SAME.

In fact, the owner(josh socher) is the one who scams everyone. He tells his employees to tell there customers EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING they want to hear, this way he will eventually charge there first deposit. Which is how him and the whole staff get paid, they are scammers, and they take the deposit, and then never call you again. And then on your actual move day, 3 Foreigners get to your house, and they barely speak a lick of English. They don't know about what they are and aren't taking, and that right there is the beginning of the nightmare.
When they came to my house, they loaded the truck full, and then told me that my price is now $18,590!!!! do you know what I booked my job at when I paid the deposit? $8,000. $8,000, can you imagine getting all your belongings put on SOME STRANGER'S truck(who mind you had NO LOGO, NO DECAL, WAS JUST A BLANK WHITE TRUCK) and then they show me paperwork(with all my belongings in there possession) that said $18,590!?!?!?!? The price hadn't just doubled, they added a straight $10,590 on top of my $8,000(which was all I pretty much had to pay for this).
So what do you think I did? In March 2013 I contracted with North AMerican Van LInes.THey lied to me from the beginning. They tol methey owned own trucks , no conractors, Contractors showed up late and crammedmy items into a truck. THey said they would drive directly form my hometo Texasno truck changes . My items wentback to Hollandaise florida and sat there for week. THey called to say delay but my items would arrive n Texas on time. I drove straight to getthere before them THey showed up 10 days after they promised. 40% of my items werebroken, boxes were crushed, and 20% of my items were stolen. I was quoted $2600 for the move pon arrival my bill came to $4200 and additioanl $75 becasue the truck was so large it ocouldn't get close enough to the building. When the truck was opened I was in shock at the condition of my belongings with crushed boxes broken vases bent shelves on and on.I sent a claim and was told they would respond by APril 15. I did not hear form them so today I called and there is no answer. I was lied to by the sales person, the customer service person and the manager. I am out some very valuable items and they broke so many of my statues, gouged furniture, broken bed frame all of my sets of glasses including antiques I am missing boxes of clothing family heirlooms, my moving dolly, a rare large gold bird cage and so much more. I am mortified and cannot get answers.
