North American Auto Sales is a complete rip off! My husband and I went there to buy this van we seen posted on craigslist. We test drove the van and l8ved the way it drove. The odometer said it had 115, 237 miles so we thought we were getting a good considering it would cost us 2,300 total out the door and it was nice and clean. We purchased the car drove back to riverview stopped at a gas station washed the the car and filled it up. We went to crank it up and all the lights started flashing and wouldnt crank after several times. Then finally we got it to crank then it kept shuting its self off. We started driving back to the car lot after having it for not even an hour. I decided to check the car fax on the bc earlier my husband was inside and seen a room full of clusters and the jeep we was looking at earlier he stated he had to change the cluster after haggling him about it for so long he finally admited it. The car fax reported it had 217,897 miles last checked when it was serviced last. I was sooooooo mad that they just played us and did everything in their power to sell us that car and sadly yes it worked. We pull back up to the lot and the guy was like oohh I onow what it is bring it back tomorrow and ill fix it no problem... we was not about to trust them in repairing the cars problems considering they changed the cluster and all. We told them no we want our money and Sam the owner was like "no you buy car it your car now" by that time my husband started snapping on them about getting our maoney. I mean we barely had the car for an hour. They did not care or felt any type of remorse. My husband ended up calling the cops even tho it was a civil matter. The officer talked them into giving us our money back and as we were walking away to leave the officer said be careful on were you buy a car bc this isnt the first time they got caught up changing the cluster in their cars. Anytime you change a cluster it automatically changes the miles, so these people buy high milaged cars and finds a cluster with lower miles and switches them with a cluster that shows lower miles. I couldnt believe it but then again they did seem sketchy. We were about to leave when the machanic walked up to us ahd said hes sorry and he was about to quit bc all of their dirty work. He said they did change the cluster and actually majority of their cars had changed clusters! Do not waste your time going there and if you buy a car over 10 years old the milage is exept so they truly dont have to tell you if it right but they will say and promise what ever the cluster says. Always do a car fax that will never lie!!!! Lessoned learned!!! Beware of North America Auto Sales!
